Guessing Bayern Munich have the advantage as the release clause is tied to that competition and they will be the only ones in it of the teams mentioned so far. Lucks in for Palace as I’d imagine there’d be quite a bidding war for his services.

Looking at the point comparison the club released the (fear of) ID checks definitely did their job. Some striking differences.

For no other reason than I have a blind spot for him but if we picked this guy up on an incentive based contract I think he could be ideal for our midfield. Times I saw him play (not loads admittedly) I thought he oozed quality. Much better player than Maddison. Guessing he’s a lazy sod…

Just a bit concerned of length of contract. 4+1 probably wiser with his injury record. 3+2 even if he proves his fitness and availability over first 3 seasons.

I read somewhere yesterday he apparently still wants his £3m salary owed as well as a free transfer…
