Let’s see where we are 5yrs from now (2029) That’s when those people should have those expectations. Not now. If we are taking these words verbatim then you can’t pick and choose which ones.
-
The problem they have ultimately is a lot of the fans are either clueless or selfish. Engaging with them too much would probably leave the club making decisions that hamstring the club. Anyone who thinks we can compete at the top end within 5yrs without radically improving our revenue streams are in cloud cuckoo land. What do we really want them to engage with us on short term? If the reality is a new ground is needed ready for 2028. Ticket sale policy perhaps and safe standing deployment ??♂️ Everything else I’d imagine they’d keep in mind for construction of a new stadium to avoid ruffling too many feathers. Or they will start incorporating once season is over and the feasibility study is announced. They’ve announced ST prices today. NUST have sent a response today and it looks like Eales has responded same day. Not sure what more could be done?

It’s not a verbatim quote “” as I’ve pointed out so not to be quoted really. You can see in the video what he actually says.

I found this @Keegans Export but if you notice the bit you quoted isn’t in full quotation marks. You’ve got to be careful as websites take liberties… A presentation was delivered referencing the club’s established vision: ‘We’re going to build a results-driven, world class, sustainable organisation that consistently achieves top six status for men’s and women’s teams and wins major trophies, within the next five years.’ DE gave further context to the club’s progress: “The club’s revenue growth over the last two seasons and into this season has been incredible. “Off the pitch, because we started from a low revenue base, we are still a long way behind the top six in the Premier League. Since we can only spend a percentage of revenue, we always look to spend the maximum we can on the team within Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). “This means it is vital that we look at ways to raise revenue streams, whether through matchday, St. James’ STACK, commercial partnerships, retail/merchandise, tours, hospitality and events.”

Wins or competes is his mantra in this interview on the record along with sustainable top 6 club. Which is a sensible realistic statement… Here’s the Fan Engagement link and no sign of your quote. Where did you lift it from? Not that it’s wildly different but it is ultimately different to saying we are going to win things. That would be silly. Try to compete to win things as above is fair and sensible. https://www.nufc.co.uk/media/79761/fep_august-2023.pdf

Yeah can’t see EH deviating from Schar & Burn central partnership for the rest of the season.
-
Yes was all planned but the land owner started playing funny buggers with the price at the 11th hour and it fell through iirc.
-
That was said before they brought in new rules I believe. Also was said to be an aim/goal. Not we will. This was the most recent vision statement based on current rules. With the word “competing” for major trophies in 5 years to give its true context.
-
Wouldn’t be against Jacob Murphy playing RB. Especially in a back line potentially struggling for pace in the other 3 positions.
-
Only been watching Ederson but agree. Nothing special so far.
-
Need to rename ground whilst building a new one also.

If not these shirts are going to be a waste of time ? Newcastle introduce 'sound shirts' for deaf fans https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68780625

Great news and if they are using the Wenger rule hopefully it will be almost instantaneous.

This basically. If players paid for their agents and also their union contributions I’d be far more sympathetic to their plights at times. When I hear ex players wanting handouts from the clubs for dementia issues I’ve very little sympathy for them. Go to your union (PFA) for your handouts. The fact a player on £500kpw is asked to contribute the same amount of money as someone on £1kpw tells you all you need to know about the PFA with most of the contributions coming from the clubs and TV deals.
-
We currently lose £200k a day I believe.
-
Funny one and still not sure about it. Effectively there’s been a load of goals scored that are mainly irrelevant. There’s definitely a lack of tension in the games. I enjoy goals so not complaining but wonder if there is some drama missing. See how 2nd legs play out.
-
I think what grates the most is Tonali would’ve been ideal for PSG away and Milan at home let alone Dortmund away. That suspension has killed us more than we care to think at times.
-
Yeah I would’ve fancied us against Sociedad. Just remembering we literally had 11 players for that 2nd leg. A season of what might’ve beens…
-
Brighton confirmed 3pm KO Saturday.
-
Joey Veerman of PSV any good? @Unbelievable
-
Hypocrisy I know but I wanted him to lose this case. The money going out the game via agents is ridiculous and unnecessary.
-
Not ideal but Liverpool beating Atlanta I think is priority.

7’s pitch booked at Dunston for ?? 11th May- 10am ? for 90mins ⚽️ £6 each - usual details but for those unsure PM me. Include mobile phone number if you want to join the WhatsApp group. Use forum name as payment ref so I can tick ☑️ you off my list ? ??
-
Yep. Would obviously like to see the full details to be 100% sure but had two people turn up for Man City paying £125 each and stuck out like a sore thumb as first timers. The regular ST holder turned up as per usual 10mins late with his mate (he holds 2 tickets) and asked them to leave his (usual) seats. All 4 went away and the strangers returned to the seats after a stewards enquiry. ST holder turned up next home game and claimed the club had made a mistake and “thought” the two tickets had been put up for resale. My only doubt in the whole tail is the ST holder is a bit of a grifter so did he knowingly resell both tickets before arguing his way through the turnstiles to his seats. Either way the strangers said they’d bought from the club…whether that was lazy terminology I’ll never know.

I suspected this a while ago after an incident row in front of me when we played Man City in the league this season. Quite disgusting from the club TBH… https://x.com/oldheatonian/status/1777645052916822076?s=61
