  1. Similar thoughts. Will he gain a yard of pace as he gets older? Not convinced he will with his build so his ceiling is B at LB. Still would like to see him further up the pitch TBH.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Was reading a thread of Man City fans marking their January recruits out of ten. Every response had him marked the highest. They seem to really like him already.
  3. Not disagreeing with your overall point but they were all from the very latter stages. As in years. There was nothing of note it felt when they started and at any of the away games etc. From first protest to recent I felt there has been coverage against the Glazers likely because they are American and Ashley was English. Never forget also the defence of him from the likes of Rio Ferdinand and other pundits. Whereas as the very same have piled on the Glazers.
  4. Surely we want Man Utd to win? More teams above us losing the better.
  5. Needs to show it. Seen him take a couple of poor ones for us and then moved off them. Fernandez like him or loathe him is what i call a specialist at them. Ah for the days of Robert, Viana, Solano and Shearer all deciding who to take it.
  6. Called the free kick, GK positioning and goal to my mate as Man Utd were on the break I wished we had great FK taker at the club would make such a difference. Remember the days we had four in the team! Another thing Isak isn’t very good at
  7. Kepa and the Leeds keeper will never not make me question football scouts. I guess they both have age on their sides to convince me.
  8. Everything Spurs do on the pitch feels last ditch. Very nervy.
  9. It was. Give it 12 month and they’ll be crocked and need to rethink.
  10. Can’t remember this level of coverage for the Ashley Out stuff…
  11. And to me he has too many to be classed as an A. Just my opinion and critique of him as a player where he currently is at the moment. Not sure why criticism is so hard for people to accept. The world ain’t going to stop turning. I did say he was excellent at everything else not listed. Though now I come to think of it need to judge him more on 1v1s when he has time to think. Went through a bad little spell of chances fluffing them when time to think. The Arsenal and Brighton disallowed goals give me confidence he’s changed his approach.
  12. Yet still no one has disagreed with the deficiencies pointed out Ill give him an A if he singlehandly wins us the cup though
  13. I didn’t. I gave him a B. Which seemed to cause a lot of unnecessary controversy despite spelling out the deficiencies in his game he needs to work 😬
  14. The North East bulkhead slowly developing.
  15. Apologies if already answered but if Joelinton gets a yellow card Monday and 2 game suspension would the Cup Final count as one of them games? I’m guessing not but just a little doubt after Gordon’s red crossing competitions.
  16. I’m not spinning anything. You said Wilson couldn’t run and I highlight he could, certainly sufficiently enough to be in with a chance of scoring. You span it by criticising his finishing. Just except it was an ill thought binary comment.
  17. Did we go for him? Not so sure about that.
  18. He got ahead of the defence. So that would suggest he’s still got enough pace if runs timed correctly. Which is what you questioned. How did that end up going?
  19. See the final thread with suggestions of 4-4-2 with Isak be the the left forward of two.
  20. Good suggestion. Depending on what shape Trippier in I’d be possibly tempted to go with Kraft but maybe start Trippier and like you say Hope Murphy can help when up against Diaz.
  21. Was clean through at least twice when we played them the other week (Wilson).
  22. Re read my post before you laugh as I added the disclaimer. The correlation is that trying something different is stupid yet repeating what we’ve done before that’s never worked isn’t. Make that make sense. I wish people would digest a post properly before responding.
  23. It’s about finding a way to win in 90mins. We’ve never done that against Liverpool with Isak CF home or away. Obviously not laying the blame on that decision but ultimately we’ve played really well against them last two out three home games and lost two and scrambled a draw. Away they’ve cruised to two comfortable wins and a lucky one. Maybe it’s time to try or at least start with something Liverpool aren’t expecting due to our limited options. Defensively RB is Liverpool’s weak spot if they go as predicted. Pre Gordon a lot of our best attacking performances have been with both Isak and Wilson starting. Hit them hard and fast then lock the door and give the crowd something to get behind is the only way I see us winning. Although disappointing for Hall I’d of picked Tino LB v Salah and make it a 10v10 game.
