The 2010-2011 Betting Thread - forum gamble fails, Ash's fault.

Probably wont let you make the actual bet Wormy, it'll show let you enter a 4 fold and show you the odds but an error message will appear when you try to out it on, I tried the same thing is the World Cup, had some massive betting plan that would have raked in nearly 300 quid off a tenner, clicked "place bet" and it effectively told me to fuck off. -
Something like Madras said, at the end of the day you know when your REALY injured, and so does everyone else in the ground. 95% of the time it's just some puff rolling about the floor with a bruised leg, should be fined tbh.

if they win 3-2 Arsenal go through, it's not fucking rocket science -
How could he be learning from the "unbelievable role model" Jose Enrique too when the latters apparently too busy slouching about, angry, kicking shit n stuff. Whole story is a farce tbh.

That, and how teams expect the game halted just because a player is hurt even if just cramp. Then they expect the attacking team to kick the ball out of play.....um, how about I give the ball to you,you kick it out, and I'll take the attacking throw in. Pisses me right off when they boot it back to the keeper, I mean cheers, we kicked the ball out of play just outside your box like
-
Please tell me that you're taking the piss? He has a point to be fair The bloke is finished. He's just a stump now. Have we learnt nothing? Has-beens are the reason we went down. Williamson and Taylor can head the ball just as well anyway. Neither of Taylor or Williamson possess the strengh of Campbell, he might be a lump, but so is half of the Stoke side. I'm not suggesting Williamson or Colo should be dropped for the game, but from a purely tactical point of view this is the kind of game where Sol actualy can be usefull.

Realy sticking your kneck on the line there like
-
Kuyt scored a hatrick Carroll made his debut (and got a header on target woop woop woop) And they beat Man U 3-1 AND they annoyingly sung happy birthday to that cunt Dalglish whilst I was sat cringeing Goal of the season contender tbh
-
there back up strikers and backup wingers (actualy just there wingers in general) are some of the worst in the league tbh
-
For the record im being theoretical here, theres absolutely no way Liverpool wil splash out the cash to sign Enrique, a top class CB and a winger. And even then there squad depth is appauling.
-
Also, they have a new manager, who if people want to admit it or not seems to have turned them around.
-
I agree with alonso like, absolutely laughable Rafa was trying to replace him with Barry, there only 6 points off the top 4 now though after an absolutely appauling start and middle to the season. City do have 2 games in hand though.
-
Well im half with minhosa anyway, still dont think they'd make the top 2
-
i'm with minhosa here, Meirelles and Gerrard as a central 2 could be exelent if the had a decent set of wingers to play with. Half the Liverpool squad has changed since Alonso f***ed off so replacing him is hardly on the agenda anymore.
-
Certainly the underdogs, but Arsenal aren't exactly Wigan Athletic here
-
Arsenal score and Barca have to score 3 to avoid extra time. It's hardly that far fetched to suggest that the Premierhsips 2nd top goal scorers could go though here
-
One starting striker and one other striker. Mr X with Ben Arfa just off him should be our first choice pairing next year imo. I'm convinced HBA will get the left wing slot. Really cant see Pards playing him as a striker or attacking central midfielder as he's too light. Too light? Unlike the brick shit house he's currenty playing up front in Peter 'Shoulders' Lovenkrands?

So was I. That was one of the several occasions where he backed off too much... Simpson was as much at fault for just jogging back when he could see that Osman was in acres like. are you talking about him backing off from osman here or arteta? Because he was pretty much sprinting backwards away from Osman, he couodn't have doen much more once Arteta got the ball withought leaving himself exposed , but Arteta shouldnt have been able to recieve the ball as easily as he did.
-
I was quite clearly talking about the goal like
-
You do have a point. and yet many have had a go at simpson this season for backing off far too much, largely due to often being left isolated by barton. yes barton puts a shift in but the weakest part of his game is the defensive partnership with his full back, it's then he still looks like he's playing out of position. Taylor never backed off, he was just in the wring possission all together leading up to Arteta recieving the ball. Was poor defensive play all round like, not just Taylor.
