http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/oct/23/blackpool-newcastle-west-brom-promotion boldly attacking? climbing the goal charts (ignore 6-0)? positive tactics? i'd love to know which of our matches she saw..... Probably glemed from the fact we've played the highest defensive line in history on a few occasions. Why I don't know... -
He escapes the hate campaign, doesn't come out of it looking like so much of a prick. The cheeper he went for the bigger the sign on fee he would have been offered. I very much doubt he agreed with Man U to sign a contract as long as they seel him just to escape a bit of stick to be honest.
-
Why do people keep saying "it was done so Man U get a big fee for him" Why would ROONEY SIGN THE CONTRACT if that was the case? Man U we're desperate to keep Rooney, not the other way round

it's said lee bowyer played his best football when going through his court case at leeds. on a personal level i loved playing football when at s*** times in my life as i could forget about them for a bit. Bowyer's the type that feeds off negativity. Carroll isn't. His head goes down if a few decisions go against him. He scored the game after he was locked up for smashing Taylors jaw... -
This! People seem to think that they only have players of Messis and Ronaldos quality in their squads. Nobody thinks that, you complete and utter buffoon. Ooooooooo noo heeeee diiiiiiiiiiintttttttttt *snaps fingers and girates head*

Suppose he's make the Barca/Real bench at a push like

Because its generally unrealistic. He should have some f***ing common sense and realise that Ya Ya Toure is on over the top wages because they are backed by lunatic arabs. No f***ing player is worth 200k plus a weel. No one. Very few clubs can pay the overinflated prices for players, no matter how good they are. I bet Man U offered him a fair wedge. THis is exactly whats wrong with football, its all about earnings amongst the players rather then the sport itself. I can just picture the England camp now after losng to Germany, all sittign about smoking cigars bemoaning their wages. f*** off you greedy c***s, you have a repsosibility towards the game yourselves. Rooney has won every trophy there is to win in the domestic game apart from the League Cup, which he's probably not arsed about anyway. A move to Man City will probably guarantee him more trophies than he's likely to win at Man Utd over the next 7-8 years, as well as a shitload of cash. Add to that the prospect of playing in front of proper football fans instead of plastic cockney wankers and it seems like a no-brainer to me. Man City... Proper fans? They've always had decent fans rbf I don't even think they sold out against Juventus a few weeks back in a european game we wouldnt sell out a group stage waffa game either. We would have before all the shit happened at the club, jesus christ man only a couple years ago we got pretty much similar crowds to there Juventus match in a friendly, and we're suppasing them last year against the arse-end of the Championship.

And i'm with NorthernGimp. I cannot bemoan a player been paid what he's worth, at the end of the day he's earned that right by been one of the best in the country through he's own hard work in a well paying job, however you should have some morales towards the fans who effectively pay your fucking wages.

Apparantly all our 25 man squad will be made to tattoo "Sports Direct" in full colour down both forearms, or be sold in January.

Thoughts on the chipped ball Carroll fluffed? Wow, one nice ball in 90 mins of football. Well worth 65k a week he's on I fear entering debate with you could be a bad idea but here goes. I didn't say he was value for money, nor did I say that his 65k a week is money well spent, but when we have a midfielder who can produce a ball of that quality just once in a game that is deemed a poor one, I'm happy for now. Like much of the squad he's had an indifferent season, when he's played well we've won. He's far from a fantastic player, but he at least seems to hold a semblance of ability when it comes to playing through balls and creating. It appears to be a bit of a theme here but players are either very good or very bad, there is no middle ground. Personally I rate Barton as a solid player with potential to be very good, Wigan is the worst I've seen him play. This is my thoughts aswell realy, I think people like neesy must watch a bit too much Barcelona/Real Madrid if there expecting 5-6 Xavi esque balls each game from a player if he's of any quality. in that wigan game, that one ball wasn't enough to make up for the rest of his play, and i'm not one saying he's been s*** all season. I'm not saying he played well against wigan, I just think it's a bit daft to critisise someone when they've had a bad couple of games. Personaly this season I think he's done well in a subdued role, although i'd prefer him to get forward a bit more like

Because he's f***ing brilliant! It's not our defensive play that needs work, it's our craft, creativity and guile that need serious polishing and Zola was one of the most gifted players the Premier League has seen, so I reckon he'd do a top job. He has all of his coaching badges, has managed in the Premier League and seems like a cracking bloke as well. Must have missed this craft, creativity and guile at West Ham. That actually strengthens my argument to be honest. He didn't do a great job as a manager but the players all seemed to love working with him. A coaching role might suit him better and he'd probably be more open to it given his relative failings at West Aaaaaaaaaa- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam That realy didn't strenghen your argument at all to be honest

Eboue on the Ridgewell challenge "When I go in for that tackle I did not want to go in to kill him"

Tuncay would be a great buy to be honest, he was great at Boro, I have no idea why he ended up at Stoke.
