  1. As long as he's playing well enough to warrant a call up but isn't getting one due to his reputation it can only be better for us Just need Carroll to glass a few more people and we're sorted...
  2. Sumic wrong with them man, the petition to give to the Judge in an attempt to get Carroll sent down was the best
  3. This. He has potential, but not the right attitude to make it imo And yous have gleamed this from what? A few photos and his twitter account?
  4. on one hand im pissed as he'll probably break a leg, in the other this atleast gives me a reason to watch the game
  5. Cringeworthy. Decent backup would be someone capable of contributing in some way. Ignoring you useless OTT post i'm sure that Loven will prove adequate back-up throughout the season and chip in with a few goals. Take a look at who some of the other clubs have in reserve and he's realy not this inept window-licking spacka you seem adament to portray him as.
  6. Loven is a decent backup striker for a bottom half prem club, which is what we are and what he currently is. You'd think the entire league was starting 2 Drogba's up top with Torres sitting in reserve the way some people go on like.
  7. Aye, with him, Jose, Jonas and Tiote in the team I usualy shit mesel when were in posession round our own box tbh
  8. Interweb miscomunication and all that jazz, i'm still holding onto my original take of you just making a massive contradiction for my own amusement however
  9. chined that kid in liverpool Is that the one he did the time for? yeah
  10. A double footed leg breaking challenge is not part of the game, it's just disguised as so. however we seen with the alonso fiasco that if barton even discuised his 'assaults' behind "part of the game" he still gets absolutely crusified by every man and his dog.
  11. Pathetic. in what way ? we've heard it all before from joey, he gives great interview then does this sort of thing, he even has cheerleaders who want him applauded for not assaulting someone in 18months. whenever i think of the joey fan club i think of chris rocks "niggers" set. You guys must live in some kind of fantasy cukoo land. I personally give Joey Barton credit because I feel he has come a long way. He is no longer getting into trouble off the field, which was very much standard previously, and even on the pitch he has taken a lot and has handled himself quite well (Wolves game for example) for the most part. Why people suddenly expect him to turn into some kind of saint I will never know, ridiculously unrealistic. Even players who do not have the kind of problems he has had, sometimes show poor judgement and lash out. It happens almost every week for goodness sake. Fellaini just yesterday and Huddlestone's stamp a week ago also, just off the top of my head. Obviously what he did wasn't right but at least he's acknowledged his mistake and has admitted he has to continue to try to learn to control himself better. Some people on here seriously need to get off their high horses. God knows what some of you lot get up to in your everyday lives. I'm sure your all perfect yourselves. Jesus. Well I dunno about you but I have this totally unrealistic expectation that a player on my team wouldn't punch an opposition player. This doesn't happen every week and you're the one living in "fantasy cuckoo land" if you're seriously trying to mount any sort of defence here. i've witnested felliany twice lash out and elbow/forearm smash a player this season, but yeah he never did it with his fist so he's all rosie.
  12. Can't really see how tackling someone can be compared to punching them. only diferance betwean a horrible challenge an what joey did is that a horrible challenge is masked as an attempted 'tackle'
  13. to be honest Spain would struggle to unlock blackburn's defence
  14. Run at them more, use a bit of pace, trickery and guile, also have a few more cracks from outside the box. There big dosey defenses are suited to take crosses all day, make them have to time a key challenge, or defend against a speedy winger constantly charging at the though and they shit it. Routlege is the type of player we need in a game like this, him an jonas can cause a lot of panic, disrupt there rythm and win some free-kicks in dangerous possisions, if only we had some-one to score from them (cough cough ryan taylor)
  15. Hear hear. Surely there are average prem midfielders out there who won't be in danger of missing half the season through their own stupidity. There's a four page thread slating Cattermole for being a dick but Barton's no different, so there's no point defending him. silly comparison, how man on field incidents has barton been involved in? how many red cards has he had, legs has he broke... etc etc On or off the park it doesn't matter where it happens. Incidents like this will cost us. He was banned for 12 games and jailed for battering a teammate which is a bit more serious than a red card. but his off-field problems appear to have been sorted, and they were his biggest downfall, he's tee-total and apparantly been in no bother at all for about 2-3 year. his problems were allways off the field as he has never been 'rightly' known as a dirty player on it. We have to expect the odd red card or moment of madness though, as we have to with all players, especialy our more 'passionate' ones.
  16. most sensible post i've seen on this thread to be honest.

  18. some of the over-reactions here are embaracing, was stupid of him but people are going on like he's just raped the queen or summat.
  19. his ball to ranger was class, as was his bit of play and the cross that preceded it in the final couple of minutes
  20. this^ it's just visably more violent and therefor brings more of a reaction. same goes with leading with an elbow etc
  21. to be fair like its not that daft to suggest pederson should be causioned aswell (not banned like), unless its ok to intentional shoulder barge people off the ball nowerdays like
  22. I really cannot believe how lax some people are being. Or rather I can, but I find it deeply depressing as a comment of the state of the game's morals. I've seen much worse in the game go without the outcry this seems to be getting. Huddlestone last week for starters. I'm not condoning his actions but the only ill-feeling I have is that he should know better that any tiny discrepancy is going to be handled different because he is who he is. I definitely don't class it as some sort of outrageous assault. Get a grip ffs. he killed a bloke for fuck sake man, how can you be so cool about this!
