Eddie Howe would give him great 1 on 1 coaching and he would have been the best striker in the league within 2 years.
-
Think this is a rare insight into how players can completely fail at somewhere like Man Utd when we usually don't fully no why. No way Howe lets his number 9 go 10th
-
Imagine having a pint with Amorim and Arteta.
-
Corner I know, but Big Maguire as a forward is genuinely genius from Amorim and more managers should do it. It's the only thing he does which isn't shite.
-
As funny as it is we don't want Amorim getting sacked too early

3)M-Boom-o Fuck knows

He missed a few sitters but there were times he would be around danger but would be a split second late making a move, finishing was the wrong word though, his ability to sniff out chances just seemed to have gone missing. Think it happened at Burnley but Nuno has found it again, he just looks a different forward nowadays.
-
Yeah it was a really weird period he had with us, just one of those things that never worked out. His timing and decision making is quality now, the run for the Anderson assist last week was ridiculous.
-
Wood failed because of his finishing though, he was a great target to hit and pressed well. Isak is great to hit if you can find his feet and he has bodies around him, but he's a poor target man.
-
xG is handy but the scouts will be looking at endless amounts of video to see how he takes position, shot choice, how clean he strikes it and his posture ect. Bruno is an obvious example, watch tape of him and it's clear, regardless of any stats, that he cannot properly strike a ball because he always tries to bend it.
-
Chris Wood did better than Isak tbf, just couldn't finish for toffee.
-
The issue wasn't Mitchell saying we could improve our scouting, it was him saying our current system wasn't fit for purpose in a blatant dig at the people at the club, when almost every player we'd signed had increased in value. We could have sold half of our squad and gotten the same kind of return you'd get at Brighton, only we were actually competing in the Champions League too. I'm sure Howe would love an improved scouting network. I just don't think he wants a bunch of PSR flips, he wants players who fit his criteria who are here for the team. I think that's where they disagree.
-
We limit ourselves because Howe wants to be as certain as he can that whoever he brings in is the right fit for the group. We have one of the best hit rates I've ever seen so it's hard to argue with his methods. We need to replace Wilson with a potential 20 goal a season striker ready to go next season, it's a hard task but hopefully it's sorted before the window closed
-
But that's what we're trying to do? The urgency to replace him has been caused by Isak going on strike. We could happily have taken this to deadline day to get the right man otherwise. If we fail to replace him then fair enough, but it won't be helping us that clubs assume we've got £130m+ coming in.
-
Nothing wrong with his performance, but Robert Jones is an absolute unit.
-
That Bogel for Leeds looks quality.

Actually watch it at 0.25 speed on the replay from behind, Pope has that all day long https://youtu.be/EbRtHkEPz8c?si=xtbpB4jmigo_r28a
-
It was a massive deflection. It was going about 1/4 of the way into the net and ended up in off the post Not sure Pope had any chance still as he seemed set up wrong, but it was absurd how they were talking about the strike without any reference to the deflection.
-
It's bizarre how the dominos fall every time we play these cunts in the league.
-
Fitting the theme of us playing Liverpool, Ekitike pushed him over and he landed awkwardly. I think (hope) it's an impact injury, I've had them on my shoulder and you're sore and rusty for a couple of weeks. Edit: Was it Gakpo? Thought it was Hugo
-
Gordon running the fullback ragged and Barnes coming on late to find holes in the (checks notes) half space is a pretty deadly weapon we have and I hope that's the plan going forward. Up against a fit fullback who has his number and Barnes becomes very static.
-
We're paying a premium to get as close as we can to a sure thing. It's fair enough saying we can get better for 70m, but it's like putting 70m on evens, or at 3/1. Potentially much better return but substantially larger risk. If Isak wasn't the world's biggest cockend we might be taking more of a risk, who knows, but I'm happy to just accept our situation at this point. Get someone safe for 15 goals and integrate Isak back into the squad through a series of beatings and hazing rituals.
-
We need him (or someone), even if we get absolutely fucking reamed for £75m it's a good deal at this point.

Was a straight red, didn't even get checked Honestly yesterday felt like a movie where the villain wins in the end.
