It's hard to evaluate due to the Isak situation, but incomings wise it's turned out well, probably 7/10 (looking at incomings only) due to having to overpay, Thiaw being a bit of a gamble, and Ramsdale not being a straight improvement on Pope. That could obviously become a 9-10/10 depending on how those 2 and Woltemade turn out. If Ramsey keeps fit he'll be class and Wissa will bang them in.

Woltemade is a much bigger risk than Ekitike and Sesko. Sesko will look shite at Man Utd, but he has 2 seasons in Germany with just under a 1 in 2 record. Woltemade has basically 1 good half seasons goalscoring form, and has never really played as a 9 after finding his form. We've scouted Ekitike for years.

Aye calling him a 1 season wonder is mad like, he's like if a more direct Harvey Barnes could also play up top. His record only looks average if you discount he's played primarily LW.

A 24 year old Jackson who is no where near the goalscorer Wissa is. We could have gotten loads of better deals on forwards, but Wissa is about as a sure thing as you'll get to score goals in this league.

I think Strand Larsen looks a much better target than Wotemade, and I would hope the idea is we can play them together - the formation yesterday suggests we would in anycase. Lot of pressure on Nick if we don't bring a guaranteed goalscorer in and there's only really Wissa and Larsen left who we can be 'sure' to bag them.

Think in our system having a target to hit who is lethal in the box is potentially as good as what Isak gives us tbf. We'd obviously be overpaying, but I think tactically Howe could make the fee worthwhile.
