There's also teams changing their tactics against you, playing a low block and grinding out a draw etc. Teams just let us have the ball a couple seasons back when we looked unbeatable, as we famously struggled to break teams down sitting back. -

It's all part of the package. Essentially "it's unlikely we are currently in the process of a record breaking (for us) run, because they are very rare". I'm not sure why we're flipping coins, that's a completely different conversation @Checko it's from Wiki, I just posted it here. Basically I don't think KI misunderstands how probabilities work, I just don't think he's using the same model you would to determine coinflips as you would to to determine football results. I think that lands under "common-sense observation". -

"Depending on context or application it can be considered a valid common-sense observation or a misunderstanding of probability." KI's making a common sense observation, that we're not currently in the process of 'making history' to be among the few teams in history to win 9 off the belt and that will effect our next 4 games. -

The law of averages is the commonly held belief that a particular outcome or event will, over certain periods of time, occur at a frequency that is similar to its probability.[1][2] Depending on context or application it can be considered a valid common-sense observation or a misunderstanding of probability. Think the bit in bold is where we're getting stuck here -

You don't think Howe could coach a few 20p coins to all land head 4 times in a row? -

It's not that it's less likely because we've just won 5, us winning 5 off the belt was unlikely, us winning another 4 is also unlikely. -

What I'm saying isn't wrong though We're not far ahead enough of Fulham, Bournemouth or Wolves for randomness not to be a fairly large part of our results against them. Southampton's new manager might tighten them up too. -

Law of averages init Basically we could be seen to have been 'fortunate' to win 5 on the bounce as any run requires a degree of luck. -
Fair play from the away fans, was genuinely vile what the did to Zirkzee at Old Trafford

Who's that cunt tucked up in bed?

I love all the new easy to access stat stuff It's made the game much better to follow.

What if you haven't been watching it?

Isak's among a handful of the best strikers in the world though, he's not worth £150m but if someone like Madrid want the best that's what they would have to pay. Good scouting should be able to find us a player of Mbuemo's quality for far less than £75m.
-
Over £75m for Brian Mbuemo seems a bit much like
-
He's called Bryan as well, which adds half a century to his age.

Paddy Power would be funnier if they knew the rules of the sport they were lampooning like. Joelinton's arm is by his side, it's not handball and never has been under any iteration of the rules (other than if he's scored himself - where 'accidental' doesn't come into play). The Dan Burn one was 50/50, it would have been a soft double yellow, he also didn't mean to handle it, but his arms are outstretched to comical levels and he really couldn't have complained if he walked.

"We were OUTSTANDING" Booed off at half time

What does he mean by all things equal? Does he think Tottenham are the only club who's players can catch the flu or something? Most clubs don't run to The Athletic crying about it.
-
I cannot argue with it nees

Spurs created little after the goal and the xG reflected that, as it often does because it's a decent reflection of chances created.
