Ashley controlling team selections again. He literally is by deciding that we can't buy any players.
-
We got 2 early goals and just sat in our box as they struggle to break teams down though. Yesterday we were just really sloppy in posession and not fast or clever enough on the break. Elliott's distribution was laughable, Gayle is fucked (hopefully not for good), Atsu was useless, Shelvey is an idiot. I'd like to say it was one of those games but it happened too frequently last season.

He might be because he was a Bosman. Even so we'd have to be the shittest negotiators ever to fail to strike a deal for less than £70k. Spurs' average wage is around £50k.
-
Jack Colback is not on £70k a week

This is NO, I'm astounded he hasn't been called a cunt yet.

Saivet was getting griefed in France buy one of them gobshite MDs they have over there wasn't he? If Rafa had any faith in him at all he'd have obviously brought him on in his preferred position ahead of Diame like, someone who he clearly didn't trust in the centre last season.

Really? EDIT: @ Saivet
-
They've essentially given him the transfers to keep him quiet but took the batteries out. Like he's a big, jolly, Spanish child.

Such a great transfer plan like, having your manager absolutely clueless as to what the fuck's going on.

Javier Manquillo (now playing for Celta de Vigo)

Soon hopefully. This lad looks every bit like he's been hopefully plucked from the bargain bin, which is exactly what we've had to do in the case of all our signings thanks to our piece-of-shit owner. It's fucking daft like. Plucked from the bargain bin is the perfect analogy too. We think we're been proper clever raking about at the bottom whilst the rest of those idiots are buying things off the shelf. In reality we've just pissed away about £30m on Starship Troopers sequels. -
I know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I realised when I saw Neesy's post that it was all a ruse like; absolutely devastated.

Judging by Wullie's track record I'd imagine that was tongue in cheek

Are our players much worse than Huddersfields? Some coaching on how to keep and pass the ball might be nice. Technique wise? yes they are. Merino was the only one today i was comfortable with controlling the ball under pressure, i feel like some tough decisions need to be made around players who were reasons for our promotion last year. Nonsense. Their three behind the striker was Ince, van la Parra and kachunga. Average as anything. Mooy was playing in Australia 2 years ago. They are coached to keep the ball and press when they don't have it. We are coached to sit off and I have no idea what we're coached to do when we have it. It would seem to be kick it away as soon as someone comes near us. All of those players are good technically though and Mooy would walk into our side. Rafa's teams have never historically been bad on the ball. Don't get me wrong, the coaching plays a huge part, the way Hudds play takes a lot of work in training. That's just not the manager Rafa is though he never will be, he's not going to turn into a Klopp-lite.

It's not even just the fact we're spending next to nowt, it's the manner in which we're doing it - sporadically and with the manager having no clue how much he'll get and when - that's more damaging. Using Hudds as an example they clearly went into this season with a specific plan on how they would improve their squad. We're going from week to week without any idea of what we're doing. How anyone can get behind this sell before we buy shite is beyond me - it's completely moronic.
