As a striker he's looked awful, definitely. You might be right and he's just not cut out for it but there's seemed to be issues which appeared last season. He hasn't looked fit and is picking up constant niggling injuries. There was reports he was scared to run at full pelt etc. I hope that was true and he's salvageable, I suppose.

Joselu looks fairly decent technically (for our squad anyway) and seems willing to work hard. He'll obviously be shite there but due to lack of options I'm assuming he'd be expected to just do what Perez has done only be better in possession. Gayle could probably do that too like, but I'd much prefer him trying to get in behind.

I think if fit and mentally ready Gayle is comfortably the best choice like, I don't think his playing style is an issue. When he's come on this season when we're ahead he's been tasked with defending and has done fine from that point imo, so whatever Josolu is meant to be doing I think Gayle can do just as well.

Do you typically stake a lot? I'm always £25 but I'm interested in how they're deciding what everyone gets. I haven't used them since they stopped the offer and I only put about £10 (or less) a week outside of that. I checked my statements and was slightly over £2000 up for the year when they stopped it (the majority of that due to the offer) so probably put into the ‘offer abuse’ folder. I'm guessing their system thinks I've likely left for another bookmaker and are trying to entice me back into using them with this.

Played as a LF from what I can remember, Cisse was up too when he arrived I think. I don’t think it’s just his position like, there’s deffinitely something off with him.

Aye, I thought we looked more comfortable on the ball than we have in many games this season. Brighton, Huddersfield, Palace we were sloppy. We know our front 4 are not good enough, and our 2 forwards are the worst in the league, until that’s sorted we’re going to look limp as fuck up top. It’s been no different to any other game this season other than West Ham and Stoke. The rest of the team were fine imo. Solid and unspectacular.

I'm not judging him fwiw, I think it's pointless bringing him on as a last ditch attacking effort though as he doesn't look like he has the confidence to run at defenders yet. Aarons at the very least has the ego to make difference.

Rubbish hes absolutely shocking much in the same mould as all the cheap shit buys that we have accumulated....Joselu,Manquillo,Diame,Perez...All absolutely piss poor and not strong enough for this division We have been beaten by teams we expect to compete with heaven help us when we play teams that attack us wave after wave away from home We'll probably be better given that's what we're set up to beat.

I don't think we've made a worse decision as a club than to go into a season with Perez and Joselu as our main forwards like.
