About £45m added to his value there.

And people are saying some dude who's been either in a hospital gown or immobile, slow and inaffective when on the pitch, albeit with a few "nice touches" and "movement" is better than the two who've actually delivered more in terms of goals and assists. I'm no fan of either Perez or Diame in the #10 role, but from the little I've seen of De Jong, I sincerely doubt he is the answer. I have no issues with him coming back and proving everyone wrong and making the spot his own. But Rafa should sign an actual #10 sharpish and let all these people fight for the spot or play elsewhere in the team (like Diame in CM, Perez LW or LS, etc). If Rafa isn't playing Diame in CM or Perez as a LS in the Championship (where I'm the same in thinking they'd be better there in the right system - like 4-3-3) then he probably isn't going to in the Premiership.
-
We obviously shouldn't bring him back as the answer (nobody has suggested this) but when we signed him he was very highly rated. He was a pretty exciting buy iirc. It's pretty much impossible to take anything away from his time here from a footballing perspective, just that he's made of glass and/or the unluckiest bloke alive.
-
What are you flapping you gums about man. His competition is Diame and Perez who have collectively been average at best in the Championship.
-
His brother's scored 54 in 91 since going back over there mind We need to buy a proper number 10 like, but I'd be more excited with the prospect of Siem behind the striker than Perez or Diame, and you would imagine we'd be looking to shift atleast one of them.
-
What are people imagining about Siem? He was basically perminantly injured here. Perez and Diame are not Premiership quality No 10s, we know that for a fact. De Jong maybe?

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Haven't seen a great deal of him tbh but he starts behind the striker for Fulham. He might be a Lallana type who can sort of play anywhere though, you get that feeling from him but I'm not sure. -

Think he'd replace Diame/Perez? -
Him starting a game isn't evidence he's fully fit though, if anything him starting one game and being on the bench the next is a sign he's not. He's obviously fully recovered from his injury but that's different.
-
If Gayle was fully fit and up to speed there's absolutely no chance he'd have started on the bench.
-
"relatively successful"
-
he seems canny rattled in that interview tbh.
-
Gayle 6.8 At that point you'd like to think most journalists would have thought "ahh, maybe this isn't such a good idea" and scrapped the article.
-
honestly think he just puts it on at this point.
-
Yeah, he's a complete cunt but I found it pretty hilarious. Just the sheer unnecessity of it Everyone pua ragin'.
-
He'll serve 3 (I think) in the UK, I don't think that's too much personally. I'm generally for shorter sentences, but I think it's justified when a 28 year old man grooms a 15 year old over Facebook.
-
I mean I can understand the argument like, the law is probably weird when you get to a 15 year old shagging a 17 year old 'n stuff like that. Using Johnson as an example to make their point isn't really going to wash though I don't think there's any way to make that point without sounding like a closeted nonce.

One of the worst parts of social media is the distortion of 'left' and 'right' that it has created now all those gobshites effectively 'have a voice' and shriek hysterically about what is 'liberal' and what is 'fascist/right wing/bigoted'. Don't bother with any form of SM now, you waste your life reading stupid things from stupid people. I'm sick of it. Not sure how it could possibly end either, people get tribal over out.
-
It's not just the mackems like, you just need to look on Twitter or read the comments section of a shite rag to see that. Many people see this as a naive bloke duped into being a nonce by a conniving little slut. He faces punishment where as the girl can only 'gain' from a law put there to protect minors from being sexually abused. It's considered 'left wing' to not mercilessly bash the victim from behind your computer screen. It's really, really weird.

It's fucking nuts like. The appeal, not the decision obviously. I think your "aye I did it, what yi gannae dee?" quote probably isn't that far from the truth. Probably followed by "ah, reet." when it dawned on him that he's technically a paedophile and the perverted grey area of fair game age in his own mind isn't reflected in society or law, aside from the terminal morons and that attention seeking cunt. Saw a comment when trudging through the Daily Mail website. Imagine if he was a muslim
-
What appeal was he hoping to win after admitting to grooming and fingering a 15 year old girl? Katie Hopkins reckons the decision is 'utter madness'.

 dunno why I found this so funny like. Caught me completely by surprise. EDIT: Seems to actually be a common Italian name for them: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fu%C3%9Fball-Club_Bayern_M%C3%BCnchen
