In hindsight it was probably a mistake to hire a man who had won 3 out of 20 games in his last job.
  2. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?130-Bulletin-Board Cannot search the site on my phone but Barnsley fan opinion of him will be easy to find on here.
  3. Not for us they don't! I don't dislike Mitrovic, fwiw. I like his passion, he's useful when he decides he's capable of using his strength and holding the ball up, and he has got the odd important goal here and there. I don't think he's definitely not gonna be of use whenever I see him on the teamsheet. I just don't think he's capable of ever going on a run of goalscoring form. Pretty much this. I like him and think he'll do well in the Premiership for a team who doesn't need a guarenteed 15 goals a season striker. As Benitez only plays one up top that's obviously not us. We've actually done well without Gayle, but had he been fit he'd have undoubtadly added another half dozen goals or so in the last 5 games.
  4. GAME OVER Huddersfield have to lose a couple at some point like, otherwise they'll be setting records.
  5. How have Huddersfield turned into the best team ever anyway? Like I think you could make a legitimate argument for them being the best team ever.
  6. Mind, an EasyJet cabin worker got fired for eating a bacon sandwich. Was it yours? Nope. https://www.hrgrapevine.com/content/article/2017-01-16-easyjet-dismiss-employee-for-eating-bacon-sandwich Did you note both EasyJet and Ikea were shown to be in the wrong? As are the FA & the club here. He's clearly broken the rules though, you can't make exceptions for it. Maybe it's a case that the rule needs to be changed if there is one. What is the anti-betting rule on eating a pie or any food whilst sat on the bench out of interest? It'll be this bit: That doesn't cover eating a pie in my eyes. I think he should challenge it. Aye I think that just covers the actual match - all 3 subs had been made I think, there was no way him eating a pie effects the outcome of the game in any way. I said yesterday but I don't see how this is any different to betting on Wrestling, Reality TV or which character dies on a soap opera, things that aren't down to chance and can be manipulated after the odds have been released. Obviously if they can prove he bet on his own market, or told people the result/what to bet, then it's fair enough. He obviously would have, but it surely has to be proven? It's The Sun who should be hammered, but obviously it's easier to just pressure Sutton United into effectively firing a bloke. Before my time Leffe I'm assuming beating Coventry? (I googled it)
  7. Nobody would give a shit about Sutton, now they've been immortalised in FA Cup history for something at least. I'll always remember Sutton United because of that time Wayne Shaw ate a pie on live TV. I cannot recall a single memory of Ebbsfleet United or Curzon Ashton.
  8. there's something about this forum catching me out with a random cock shot every now and then.
  9. He's a non-league keeper who was thrown into the spotlight because of his weight so he's having a laugh. I have absolutely no doubt that he got his pals to put money on for him for an easy few quid but I can hardly blame him The game hasn't been brought into disrepute, no cheating has went on, the match remained the same. It was essentially a dare that you could bet on.
  10. I'd say he's more Mourinho/Simeone than Allardyce/Pardew mind
  11. He's having a decent season and is clearly our best left back. The hatred of him has always completely baffled me. It's very likely that he'll be on the bench next year.
  12. Legally I cannot see how it's any different to betting on something like wrestling tbh (which there are markets for), maybe I'm wrong though, it seems shady.
  13. Strange that the Villa lot are having a go over us after this given how much the pua love BANTER.
  14. 'everyone else' ignoring the one's who didn't like. Including Semtex who you've just claimed 'wasn't saying that at the time. He absolutely was.
  15. They didn't like. He played well in quite a few games and looked a 'good shotstopper', he definitely improved coming back after his injury, but he cost us atleast 4 points directly due to basic errors (Everton and Stoke) and made a couple more howlers. He was incredibly slow off his line which I doubt gave our defence much confidence. I remember people gushing over his Bournemouth performance but other than a header at the near post it was routine saves and shite finishing.
  16. Surely you see the irony of our fullback being exposed to attacks down their right but us not attacking down the same channel doing the same thing to expose opposing fullbacks.
  17. It's just a job, why wouldn't he go for the biggest wage? Unless there was very little in it. Referees aren't multimillionaires like footballers and their retirement age is pretty young.
