It doesn't mean much like but I find those images side by side absolutely hilarious Colback's biggest strength is actually his biggest weakness.
-
Since people love salivating over Colback's stats, look at them compare to the bloke we let join Crystal Palace. http://www.whoscored.com/Players/69867 http://www.whoscored.com/Players/12376 PHWOARRRR

You're claiming that we have unrealistic expectations for our starting central midfielders, man.

£50 on Under 3.5 first half goals on B365 (returns ~£51). £5 on Over 3.5 first half goals on William Hill (returns ~£100). I just basically copied Wullie (I think) but it's easy, only a £5 risk and you actually stand a chance of wining a decent wedge on your £5 lay. EDIT: Aye 2nd half goals is better as Under 3.5 first half goals is short for this game

http://matchedbettingblog.com/mug-betting/#.ViTZ4n6rSM8 Top of the UK ranking according to this bloke, whatever that means. I don't match bet myself but that site is decent to check now and then for offers.
-
If you're worried about Bet365 flagging you for matched betting I'm pretty sure they're the most lenient (or one of the most lenient) bookmaker when it comes to that.

HBA was genius on the ball man. I love Perez and his game's a lot more reserved and hard working than Hatem's but I don't think his decision making is any better.

There's no getting round the fact that Alan Pardew was the first Newcastle United manager to lose 6 consecutive Premier League games. There's no getting round the fact that before Alan Pardew arrived, since 1993, Newcastle United had lost 35 Premier League games by 3 goals or more. Alan Pardew had lost by 3 goals or more 22 times on his own since December 2010 (until 07/09/2014). More than any other Premier League club in the same period. There's no getting round the fact that Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United conceded 3 goals or more 11 times in 2012/2013. There's no getting round the fact the 0-6 home loss to Liverpool was the biggest home defeat since 9th Sep 1925 (vs Blackburn). http://sackpardew.com/

Pretty sure Mole's exact words were "we don't need to play with a defensive midfielder" mind
-
I can only think of 2 genuinely great performances from him, I don't think he's been noticeably worse than anyone else other than Perez on the whole though. I keep reading - both in here but especially with random name drops in articles - that he's been a joke and should be dropped which I just cannot get behind. I think I disagreed with Yorkie starting him a couple of months back ahead of a proper winger (I wanted Thauvin right and Aarons left) but in hindsight there's been no one else who can fill that position. I think Perez with De Jong alongside Mitrovic possibly but it would be silly to break that partnership up at the monent.

The assist stat is meaningless too like, as TCD says he was massively involved in a lot of our chances last season. He pretty much single handedly drove us forwards for the first half of it too.
-
People seem to forget what he's capable of quite quickly which leads to some daft critisism of him imo, he doesn't do this every week though, and he's obviously massively inconsistent (especially on the wing) but we have nobody else who can play there since Thuavin is seemingly actual garbage.

Said it before but Mike's comment completely summed it up, something like "I was wondering how he was going to beat those 3 people" after he effortlessly glided past their entire right side. It was exactly that, you knew he was going past them, it was just a matter of how.
-
 it's true though.
-
"Pards played a blinder with him" is easily the best thing I've ever read on this forum.
-
Over the course of his career Pardew has single handedly given away about half of a title challenging side for absolutely no apparent reason.
-
Wish I'd been listening to Wullie about Nice the last couple of times like, they never seem to stop scoring
-
Cannot remember if it was the Chesea or Man City game but him pulling out of a challenge on the edge of the box was fucking tragic I can forgive him, but it was ridiculous.
-
What was his celebration? He went crackers pretending his hands were guns or something, didn't seem planned or anything, he's just completely lost the plot
