Half time yesterday I would have been fairly confident of us staying up, win or lose, but that collapse is fucking worrying. No way we'll bring in a manager capable of sorting it out so it'll not be the last.

Not wading into the argument on anyone's side here like, but that's what my line of thinking is, and why I was happy to see people turn on McClaren so fast, whether it was deserved or not. Ashley cannot keep it up if he's having to get a new manager in every 6 months again, something has to give.

This is wrong. As soon as he is back onside having been inactive in an offside position, he is allowed to become active again in the new phase of play. You sure about that? New rules were put in place this season so people become active again and hence offside. Wasn't the change not more to do with players blocking the keepers view/a defenders path whilst in an offside position? That was one change, but I remember benteke's goal earlier in the season that should had been disallowed v bournemouth under the new rules as he was originally offside but not active in the start of the goal. Ahh missed that tbh, I'll have to have a look at it.

Not even sure what the phase of play fully means, but surely the phase of play where Perez was offside had passed during the time Janmaat had received the ball to making his cross. Otherwise people would be offside fo nothing all the time, it would be far too complicated to both officiate and follow too.

Was Janmaat not offside? If not and the offside was given for his cross in the box then that is without doubt the worst refereeing decision I've ever witnessed

It's just poor scouting. He's not the fastest bloke ever but he gets up to speed almost immediately.

It's weird, his goal record doesn't really stand out but (2012 Cisse excluded) he's probably the most clinical finisher I've seen at the club since I can remember. His goals against Chelsea, Everton and his 2 against West Brom have all been really well taken, I think he'll definitely reach double figures.

Thought he's looked good personally, and seems to know where the net is. He seems like a permacrock like and Perez has obviously tied down the 2nd forward role for now.

Women should definitely be on the game like I never really thought much about it until they were added but now they are I cannot see how it's contentious.
