Like I imagine West Ham's odds for winning it were pretty low, you'd have gotten massive odds in the winning the League Cup.

I'm not saying they're minnows. They're 8th in Serie A like. It's a much more interesting cup as it's great to see your side compete against European teams, but the quality of opposition is much worse than you'll see in the League Cup. The final almost always has a top 4 side in it.

I'm not reading your post because a quick scan shows it's just going to be nauseating, but we're in massive need of reinforcements in centre midfield. We were in January, and we still are. We finished the season with Gordon, Anderson and an injured Bruno there. Literally every one of our central midfielders were injured by the final whistle

Howe probably isn't going to turn a player who cannot hit a barn door into a 20 goal a season striker or anything, but if they have the right physical attributes and attitude he's shown he can make them invaluable to his system. People were legitimately laughing at the idea of getting even a million quid from Everton for Longstaff about a year ago I'm not saying McTominay is a delicious signing or anything, but when the idea is to harass the opposition in their 3rd and then win the 2nd balls a player like McTominay makes perfect sense. Longstaff's was a big miss when he was injured.

There's a decent compilation from his limited time here so far, that was posted a week or so back. The talk of him being a flop so far is nonsense. He's looked fine.

Howe's incorporated a system which can suffocate the majority of the league with Longstaff as one it's key pieces, I wouldn't worry too much about signing McTominay. We need quality on the ball still but I doubt McTominay would hinder that search.

Actually not many wins on there that you cannot see us neing able to get next season. Our totals against the top 5 can only get better really.

Joelinton still doesn't seem at his full potential and he's been our best player since Clark gained legendary status at the club. He'll be player of the season next year too. He's too perfect for how we play.
