Its not looking that way now. The deal will hopefully be done within 2 weeks though (hopefully). I doubt the economy will have started to recover in that time.

I'm guessing that would depend on what was written into the official bid/contracts. At the bare minimum that would be the case. Pretty sure when this all broke, lawyers and journalists confirmed that he can’t pull out, there is literally nothing he can do to stop the deal. Was Wednesday specifically mentioned? Yeah by Caulkin He said it could be done by Wednesday but he's not giving that as a definitive. I've just listened to that bit of the podcast to make sure. I think it's safe to say the directors test is either very close to concluding or it already has based on what Caulkin said. It's going to be next week, possibly even the week after before we hear anything but everything still points to this getting the green light.

George Caulkin said on Tuesday that he expected the O&D test to be complete on Wednesday. Then the transfer of funds can take a few days (2 to 5 days by some accounts). If all of the above is true it could be next Wednesday before the money is received by Ashley. There might not be an announcement until then.
