Used to go and watch them when I lived in Manc and they played at Maine Road in Div 2. Saw the famous 10-1 and them getting crushed 4-0 by Liverpool in the cup. I think the problem is that unlike Mourinho, they started with a poor side that gave up on Erickson. His last game was the collapse to the Smoggies, 7-0 or whatever it was. Tinkerman left lots of good players and had signed Cech to come in. Hughes was laughably shite (Wayne Bridge!) and Mancini is too defensive (read as shite if you like). Bellamy has fallen out with too many people to suggest he's blameless. It's also pointless for a big club to bend over backwards for him because he's a crock. Stephen Ireland is over-rated and I don't know how anyone can claim Dunne was a big mistake having seen us play Villa this year. Basically they need a Mourinho, dare I say Hitzfeld, or some other top boss to come in. ManUre fans seem to think they have a divine right to Mou, but it would be great if Citeh got him. This is not to say that I support big money in the game. I would happily see limits and the CL revert back to the European Cup with only the champions involved. That would make things much more even.

Give Routledge another chance without Perch behind him, but direct play down the left as the first option. I don't follow the reserves, but Ferguson looked like he had good delivery in the match against Chelsea. If Routledge proves he can't play to Premiership standard, maybe give young Shane a go sooner than later.

When he gets banned, I hope the club fines him.

Another test passed with flying colours. The whole team contributed to the result, but Tiote was again brilliant. Make that P7 W4 D1 L2 13 points.
-
Brilliant team performance! We didn't give them one clear chance. It's another result we should wallow in and really enjoy, but the temptation is to start thinking about the next match already!
-
As for the lack of class, don't they have players in the crowd and and a minor pitch invasion every time they score against us at SOS?
-
It's worked great in the last few games but I think sterner tests lie ahead. The way we've been playing though, the games can't come fast enough.
-
Got to make them work for their goals. If they can work it through two banks of four then fair-dos, the points are theirs. Don't just get caught in possession and give them a ball over the top to Walcott or Nasri at full speed. Make it easy and they will capitalize.
-
Hope we give it a good go. Just no high defensive line please. It would be playing straight into their hands.
-
Should be interesting to see what he can do next week. The annual tonking may not happen this time. Played six won three drawn one and lost two (one unlucky to Citeh) with him so far in the league. He also played in the win at Chelsea. Fantastic so far.

For all the limitations we've seen, all them goals and this hat-trick are the stuff of legend. I reckon he's earned himself an nickname. If Mick Martin could be Zico and George Reilly could be Rambo (after a spell as Mavis), any good suggestions for Kevin Nolan?

Nicky Butt displaced as overhead kick king!

I've started feeling that myself of late, everything that becomes popular opinion on here soon gets tried by Hughton.. Coincidence? If that's the case, maybe he should get Shola to work the right channels more especially if Joey Barton or Guthrie is on that side. Its what lead to the winning goal for starters and would leave more space for Jonas and Enrique to play in. It would also spread the center halves and provide a target at the back stick, or maybe just someone to give chase when crosses are overhit.

Same again against the Mackems big man!

Fourth top scorers in the league! Nolan 4 Torres 1 Rooney 1 pmsl!
-
Three points! Tiote MOTM Ferk me West Ham are shite. Hope they fluke some points soon so Grant sticks around for longer.

Nice finish landlord!

Express says 230,000 a week, Mirror 250,000 a week once image rights (offshored to avoid tax) are added in.
-
Maybe, but perhaps ManUre's ability to attract Mourinho may not be as great as some of their fans wish to believe. With the Glazers' debt and losing players like Ronaldo and Rooney, you'd have to say the club is in decline.
-
Hope he invokes the Webster ruling or at least threatens to and gets the price in Jan down to about 20 million. I'm sure Citeh could slip him ten million offshore in return for his cooperation. The bridges seem beyond repair, so the only question is how much ManUre will get for him. I hope its not very much. Personally I think Rooney's strung them along, esp with all those "finish my career here" quotes six months ago. He's not as stupid as he looks.
-
Manchester United, meet player power! It doesn't just work for that door marked "in". If Stretford and Rooney have planned this all along, then they have played the club for total mugs. Well done lads! Noone saw it coming.
-
If that Webster ruling is for real and he can go for five mill next summer, they'll have to sell him in January at cut price to a club Rooney will agree terms with. The obvious qualifier for the latter is Citeh.

Did David Pleat call Sammy Lee "a real inbred Scouser"?

Arsenal - nice passing Citeh - used to go and watch them in Div 2 when I lived in Manchester. At the moment it's anyone playing Sunderland, Liverpool, ManUre, or potential relegation rivals, but I'll half cheer for Blackpool if it ever looks like we won't need them as one of three below us.
