  1. Dunno the full situation but seems a bit weak to argue that the board were right to allow the sale with time before deadline when there are more bidders involved. If the Lim bid is geniune but the sale is upheld, wouldn't Hicks have a strong case for suing the individual board members for the difference between the bids.
  2. Experience says it won't last. Let's see who's crocked, suspended, or fallen out with his manager in a month or two's time.
  3. That gif is Monty Python standard! Quality! Its good to someone else suffer for a change. The pressure's going to be massive if Everton beat them next game.
  4. So-so so far. Next three games will tell us a lot. Gutted about HBA, but Tiote a big plus. Harper was unlucky too, but first signs of Krul look okay. Stoke aside, our defence is playing to stay-up standard, with Sol looking great yesterday and Steven Taylor in the wings. The easiest way to get relegated is to ship goals and we don't look like doing that at all. If you want to talk luck/decisions, the pen Smith conceded to Blackpool was also borderline and in a big game for us, but it maybe made it easier to replace him with Tiote.
  5. Three big games coming up for sure. This season was never going to be easy, but we should have a good idea of how hard its going to be by the end of October.
  6. We did better than Chelsea at creating chances against Citeh. All they managed was a defender's header from a corner (which they missed too). The high defensive line looked really risky, but they were incompetent in turning it into clear chances without the ref's assistance. You could even say it was a successful gamble.

Aye, from what little we saw, he looks like a good 'un. A player that makes football worth watching. It's a real body blow for the team, but is worst of all for the lad himself. We can only hope his recovery goes as well as possible. For someone with a broken leg, he still managed to half sit up at first and wave to the crowd from the stretcher. He must be tough, and maybe that bodes well for his comeback. Anyway, there's nae replacement until Jan at the earliest, so we're just going to have to buckle down and make the best of it. It would have been nice to have another point in the bag from yesterday, but Martin Atkinson ensured that wasn't going to happen.
  8. Bollocks. Kind of robbed but that will be forgotten by next week. Gutted about HBA and worried about Colo, but Sol did grand. Other positives in Tiote (the man!), Jonas, Nolan being taken off, etc. Ultimately though we need points and we didn't get any.
