And remind me what happened after both of those managers you’ve mentioned left again? Did things dramatically improve or did they get a fuck load worse? The reason many are supportive of Howe is because they can see that things off the pitch this summer have had a massive destabilising effect and as you’ve already mentioned he quite rightly has a lot of credit in the bank. Obviously if this kind of form persists into next season then I think the club would have to reappraise things. But to shit the bed at effectively the first big bump in the road after 4 years of observable linear-ish progress is the kind of shit we rightly give Chelsea fans dogs abuse for.
-
Yeah because it works in a linear way like that, I bet you were hand wringing about the defeats to West Ham and Bournemouth last season when we qualified for the CL. Honestly at this point you come across as someone who isn’t happy until they’re whining and being in perpetual misery. Honestly sometimes on here it displays how we've ended up in our current polarised political situations, because it would appear context and nuance are alien concepts to some people.
-
Which is still less than most of the teams everyone expects us to be beating, heck Man Utd spent about 50% of that this summer alone. our spend and wage bill is about 7/8th in the league so we've overachieved since they’ve been here. There is still massive lag in decisions being made and the infrastructure that could see us kick on further is in limbo.
-
Well then PiF need to keep up their end of the bargain then, I’d argue it was them dragging their heals with sorting out a CEO and replacing Mitchell that landed us in this situation in the first place. A competent executive team being in place could’ve stopped this summer being the disruptive nightmare it became.

Are Liverpool now invested in enough by Saudi, for it to be considered a related party transaction like? -
I mean all of us on here obviously want him to stay and continue to grow here, but let’s not forget what Pep did for a certain Kyle Walker, him leaving a fairly good Spurs side that were on the up at the time, didn’t exactly work out badly for him did it? We have to be aware we're not yet at the top table in terms of wages we can offer etc. we don’t have to be happy about it, but denying that it’s the current reality is equally daft.
-
Because at Man City he will have the chance to compete for the PL and CL, something which we are still a decent way off from realistically being able to do
-
Not strictly true though is it, as the length remaining on the contract is directly proportional to the fee we can command. Yes we as fans are going to have to become used to player trading, I just hope actually having a club hierarchy in place going forwards means it’s not as drawn out and disruptive going forwards.

You missed the "off your" from the front of your username -
Well by your own standards you’ve definitely failed as a rational poster on here then 🤦🏻 FML

Oh and whatever you do, don’t forget the midge repellent if you’re heading anywhere in the highlands 🤣
-
That would be me (Lives a few miles south of Elgin), I would definitely recommend Edinburgh. As others have said the Highlands are beautiful, but be prepared for the travel around that area to be more frustrating that you might realise. It might look like a short distance on a map, but it may take hours because of the volume of traffic on roads that struggle to cope with it. As others have suggested it might be worth picking somewhere like Aviemore, Fort William or Drumnadrochit to act as base to explore, but expect accommodation there to be expensive. People have suggested the NC500 and whilst it’s starkly beautiful, there isn’t really much to see or do beyond the scenery along the way. I’d definitely say the likes of Skye and Oban are worth a visit too.

I dunno if you’ve watched much football this season or not, but so is everyone else in the PL.
-
I think it’s easy to forget some of the gilt edged chances we’ve missed in some matches tbh. The Fulham game alone Bruno should’ve scored 5.
-
Where did you see Villa fans in delight at getting a fee for him? I only saw annoyance similar to us with Anderson with them being pissed off that they’d lost one of their own due to PSR
-
Was that for the want of trying though, or did I just imagine the failed pursuits of Delap, Pedro, Ekitike and Sesko?

Pipe down Clippy

No we don’t, should only wear it once on the game nearest to Remembrance Sunday. This veteran is becoming increasingly annoyed by certain sections of the populace trying to make it war Christmas from mid October onwards
-
that can’t be true, as a large number on this very forum said we should’ve bought him instead of Elanga and that he was class

It would be Qismat is we could get this deal done
