My only worry is that there’s absolutely no pressure on them and one of our players loses his head and gets a red or something. Howe will have them well drilled for this though, he’ll know what that lot will try and do. Play our game and we’ll muller them. Mind there’s every chance one of their mongs gets a red trying to take one of our players out. -
Wilson will be ideal for the derby too

Said something similar below. The likes of Longstaff and Burn will make the lads aware of how we ballsed it up in previous years too. -

The likes of Bruno and Isak will be well up for this. Gordon knows all about derbies and then you’ve got our local lads. Fully confident we’ll be fully switched on for this and not freeze like in past years.. Their lot will be radged up so no doubt plenty horrific tackles and trying to wind the like of Joelinton and Bruno up. If we just play our game we’ll wipe the floor with them. They’ll what to turn it into a scrap but we’re too physically strong for that. The derbies under Pardew we always played the occasion and got involved in the emotion which took as away form our game. We’re too well drilled under Howe for that. Only thing is zero pressure on them. -

Yeah a worry is an injury to Isak and Gordon in the coming weeks. Barnes coming back would make a huge difference. -
Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

I think he’s fine to deputise for a good few months or second half of the season if necessary. If there’s concerns about Pope longer term we might look to recruit next summer. -
Isn’t it great just having a discussion about potential signings after the Ashley years ??
-
Im not saying he’s shit and maybe you’re right increased depth just means more options. Replace ‘need’ with ‘could do with’ possibly. Miggy does very well for us but is Gordon a better player than Miggy on the opposite side and are there better RW players out there, I think yes to both of those that’s all I mean. Next season we’ll look to go up another level and RW is an area we can improve on is my point I think ?
-
Yep will be a key addition next summer
-
I get what you’re saying but if you’re going to go to places like Anfield, Emirates etc or even play those teams at home you need higher quality finishers/game changers. Miggy is great and will no doubt have a prominent role still but RW definitely needs strengthening/uograded. I’m not saying I know exactly who but I’m sure this is a position they’ll look at next summer. Agreed that the squad is definitely coming together now though when all fit. I think after Jan and next summer it’ll start to getting close to what they want.

True but the longer things go on the more likely we get a body or two back ? -
I loved him too but you can absolutely see why we sold him when they clearly had an idea of how good Gordon could be and the role he could do. If they can upgraded RW next summer we’re really in business.

Yeah I think we’ll be fine for Everton, plenty of time to rest and recover. The issue is how we manage this and then Spurs away on the Sunday. -
What’s that, 6 goals now? ASM a distant memory now.
-
Will be a massive loss but Dubrabka is a solid back up and I think we can manage relatively well while he’s out. Defence will still be solid.
-
Ive treated plenty at work. If there’s no complex labral tear, fracture or complex cuff tear (highly unlikely) he might not be missing too long. ?
-
100% dislocation seeing it again
-
I’ve done mine, doesn’t always mean surgery, had to have mine put back in in hospital. Sometimes they sublux but don’t fully dislocate. Rugby players often get back relatively quickly. He’ll be out for a good few weeks either way though.
