  1. I'm not desputing that. To be fair when their NE correspondant is Graham fucking Courtney that says it all, lol Still like the 1-4 show, decent listen.
  2. Haha, nice one. I like Jacobs he's "honestly" biased towards Chelsea as most fans are but he knows his football. His post Chelsea match rants/reports are always highly amusing, lol Paul Hawksbee sounds like a top bloke to be fair too - again honest insight into Spurs. ...........Yep nowt in sunday papers on us but then there wasn't anything on Cisse was there. I also don't remember much on Cabaye before it happened.
  3. Think Santon will really come on again this season now he's had a year's experience in the league. The fact he can play left or right back gives us that extra bit of cover too.
  4. That "Transfer Tavern" show on talksport I think being mentioned is utterly atrocious. There are a few decent reporters such as the English based French correspondant (name escapes me - Philipe Au Clair or something?) Drive with Durham is amusing if only for the winding up of Arsenal supporters. The only decent show is Hawksbee and Jacobs, they actually have proper interviews with people and give decent opinions on football in my opinion.
  5. And wait for it................Ray Parlour saying on talk sport that Arsenal should go for Cisse. Yeah that's right Ashley is just going to hand him over Ray, lol Muppet. Even if he was going to be sold on it'll be at a price well above what Arsenal could even dream of paying.
  6. If its 10m in one payment that might swing things our way instead of installments. Good move though, one last offer and move on if they refuse to accept.
  7. The way Pardew spoke in the interview a while back gave the impression there was a pretty good chance we might get him. We tend to put in ground work months and months if not years before we buy a player and when it happens it often happens almost stealth like. I don't think anyone really knows and the paper stuff about other clubs coming in means nothing as yet. Still confident it might happen this end.
  8. Would be outrageous if we could sign him but he looks too good for other more wealthy clubs not to have noticed. Just hope that we've already put in the leg work and that Cabaye has done his best to sway it for us.
  9. Selling Krul would be an utterly brainless, stupid decision. I just can't see it happening, wouldn't even be worth it for 15m. The number of points he saves us relating to league position plus the fact you'd have to find a replacement. Plus his value will only go up over the next few years anyway. Begs the question too, why would he want to move to spurs right now anyway??
  10. Doesn't he have a pretty high bonus rate for games he plays (relating to the knee injury) above his basic salary which means recently he's been earning atleast 50k a week or more?
  11. It would be galling to lose him to Spurs ffs. I could stomach him going to Man U/Chelsea type level but Spurs no It all sounds very complicated with these agents, his knee and the clause which apparently "opens" today. Get the impression the agents will push things because there's a load of cash to be made but ultimately if Ba knows there's more money/longer contract he'll probably be off. It would make a mockery if he ends up at Spurs though given they can't offer champs league. No point getting wound up as there's nowt I can do about it. I just hope that if he does go we have someone lined up (as I'm sure we probably do).
  12. If RVP bins Arsenal off I could see them going for Ba.
  13. Don't know anything about him but smacks of someone Carr has had his eye on for ages. Is he an attacking midfielder?
  14. Good post ^^^^ A bit more pace, power and height at the back to go with a fit again Saylor would really solidify things. We've got the players to nick a goal away from home keeping things tight but too often have conceded goals due to lack of pace or being out muscled (look at Williamson being outjumped for pne of those Wigan goals)
  15. The return of Saylor plus another quality centre half and an improvement at fullback (Debuchy?) should allow us to keep things tighter at the back and keep the ball better when we're under the cosh as Skirge has said re the likes of Williamson at the back.
  16. I personally think True Faith are right on the money with most of their stuff. I don't see them as coming out with something like this unless something serious has happened (unfortunately).
  17. I like Vincent Company, top bloke/awesome player.
  18. I think a new LB/RB plus a centre half (Douglas?) will be definites. And probably a young striker from the continent given that the ACN is happening again. With Marveaux back I can't see that many changes to the midfield but I guess if Guthrie goes they'll bring someone in (Sigurdsson maybe). I can still see one high profile player going this summer but I'm confident they'll plan for that and cover it should it happen.
  19. Great with the ball, quick and very direct. Like him a lot
  20. It was always going to be a game where the first goal and a bit of quality kind of decided it and on another day that Ben Arfa goal goes in. What a strike that was with his wrong foot. City really are a ridiculous side but what thats to be expected when someone has thrown with the thick end of half a billion at it, Yaya Toure and Kompany are true warriors but the money thing is the thing which sours it a little for me. Finances on a ludicrous level really that take the piss. Don't think this team is that far away from becoming a powerhouse themselves. They'll learn a lot from today even in defeat.
  21. Starting to look class now. A full pre-season and an understanding of what the league is about will really see him come on. I guess they may be looking to move him to the right if they bring in a starting left back?
  22. Will draw so much attention from the City defence today I can actually see Ba or Ben Arfa scoring
  23. Downing and Henderson are atrocious, christ. That come back and credit where credit is due it was a good one was however the sign of a cup side. They simple don't have enough quality to maintain any serious consistency (good) in the league with those players.
