    Alan Pardew

Jonny I happen to think Pardew is genuine and I think he's doing a decent job working under those two cronies but at some point the responsibility falls on him to make sure we atleast have adequate cover especially as he initially staked his claim on Carroll not being sold. To be fair I think Ashley would piss on his own Mother if he had her managing the team
  2. Yeah we defended well apart from the American football "hail mary" pass over the top for the goal
  3. Yeah exactly, irrespective of the Carroll departure I've seen Sturridge go on loan to Bolton and Vela to West Brom and even if Carroll hadn't gone we should've been looking to add. We were up against it tonight, literally down to the bare bones and with some key players missing but the way the club has backed itself into a striking crisis is nothing short of ludicrous. It's just ridiculous that two years on we've had "another" pathetically bad january transfer window which broke us last time and got us relegated and might do again. Thankfully with the likes of Tiote, Ireland and more to the point Ben Arfa coming back there is hope and we should have enough but I just don't know what to think anymore.

Irrespective of the Carroll transfer shouldn't the club and more to the point Pardew been looking at some loan options such as Sturridge or Vela. The Ameobi injury just rubs salt into the wound and makes Pardew look like even more of a mug. Playing with fire imo.
  5. I went to watch that at Craven Cottage tonight, I'm seriously worried now. And that worry has turned to anger because "again" the club has made the same mistakes and fucked things up. The Ameobi injury just shows the running of the club for what it is, total and utter fucking farce. Jesus
  6. Just about to leave to head over Putney way for the match, howay lads!! See you on here later for a post match review.
  7. We're run by a pair of cunts, we'll never go anywhere under Ashley and Llambias. Carroll being sold was the "big one" once they got rid of Hughton and I have absolutely zero faith that the money will be re-invested. Pardew has done alright and speaks well but he knows the score really and is complient with whats going on above so even if he comes across well I just dont believe anything he says. Who is next out of the door, Tiote?
  8. Is it actually him??? but "Andy Carroll" on twitter says "Going nowhere"
  9. I'm going and sitting in the "neutral" end which I'd assume will be packed with Newcastle fans? Am I right?
  10. I think SWP on loan wouldn't be such a bad thing really. Atleast it gives him a chance to prove his worth and it he doesn't do it we haven't signed him anyway. Wouldn't be happy about buying him outright.

Sunderland's run of fixtures after this game could hardly be described as easy
  12. That prick Darren Lewis was on talksport this morning going on about how why wouldn't we sell Carroll for 30m if we were offered it as if it logical. Why don't you atleast do a little research and consider the fact of how much it would cost to replace him and find a goal scorer of his calibre, how much of an effect it might have on season ticket sales for next season if you sell your marquee local lad of a player and how much it would cost the club if we sold him and went down.
  13. Having seen the highlights last night, God that was a miss from Shola from Barton's ball, bloody hell. How shit does Bramble still look, lol Dear oh dear. I thought Dixon made a good point about our defenders not closing down Bardsley for the shot. Harper probably should have done a bit better but that goal was just one of those things. I guess if they'd kept the ball better the shot would never have come in. Sunderland know they've been done in the 90 mins at the end of the day even if they've fluked a draw. Players lacked bottle again??? Bruce's celebration, what a classless oaf he really is, fuck off.
  14. The worry for me is he's exactly the type of player someone like Arsenal needs. He's just looked THAT good that you fear someone coming in for him and the age old question remains, will Ashley ultimately hold onto key players or sell them.
  15. Well going into this they are favourites again and the pressure is squarely on them after the 5-1 mullering. They're desperate to make amends and the longer the game goes on without it being a revenge mullering the more it plays in our hands. I think it'll be tough for us without the injuries but I'm not sure it's as one sided as some think. Players like Barton and Nolan know how to win these games. Tough ask all the same.

    Niko Kranjcar

Would be fantastic because of his versatility in different positions but it's obviously not going to happen so no point even thinking about it.............clearly would love to be proved wrong.
  17. By all accounts a good pro and someone to supply ammunition for Carroll/Ameobi. If he does sign we're not exactly expecting him to do a Messi on the wing, lol I say it'd be a good acquisition, definitely strength to the squad. There just isn't enough from Routledge at the end of the day and it gives us more options.
  18. Yep looks like he's on the way to Brum on loan.
  19. Premier league physio room has his return date as Feb 26th which would be the Bolton game. If you think he got injured at the very beginning of October that would be 5 months recovery which if the break isn't a complicated one is feasible. Even if that's delayed a couple of weeks and he's back early March you'd still take that.
  20. Surely the fact that we've now signed him on a permanent deal signals that his recovery is going fine and that he's bang on course for a return "fairly" soon? I've seen the end of Feb date, that would do nicely.
  21. Ashley must also know that "surely" that Carroll means bums on seats at St James. Sell him and it will be the final straw for many.
  22. Even for 30m it would be mad to sell Carroll. How much does it cost to find a striker who can potentially score 20 prem goals? And why sign the likes of Ben Arfa if you're then going to then sell Carroll as the potential for carnage on the pitch between the two of them is awesome. It would go completely against Ashley's self professed plan of bringing through youth and building a team around them. I have no doubt Carroll will go at some point if he continues playing like he is but surely he and Newcastle would benefit from atleast a few more years together before he finally moves on. This is Ashley however so logic doesn't count I guess............
