I gave up listening to him ages ago. Constantly changing what he says depending on the situation regarding players and league ambition. Ranging from "we desperately need new players" to "this squad is fantastic" or "this squad should be pushing to challenge for the top four" then a contradiction blathering on about how we can't compete with sovereign states and trying desperately to lower expectations. He's being hung out to dry no doubt but he seals his own fate these days in my eyes.

More carry on like last season with players out of position and negative tactics and he'll quickly lose what remainder of support he has at St James. The despair for me is when I hear things like "Sissoko on the wing" , "Jonas was really poor" and "we were hitting it long from the keeper" That worrying tells me it's just a continuation of last season with the same old mistakes being made.
