  1. Have a feeling it'll be a loan deal but there's still plenty of time left yet in a looooong day, they brought a left back in, lets hope they're currently finalising a deal for a striker.
  2. My blood starts to boil when he pops up on sky fuck off
  3. Obertan's pace away from home for counter attacking is invaluable, that said Raylor is obviously playing very confidently at the moment and is a massive threat from freek kicks. All food for thought I guess.
  4. Well not long to go now before we find out just what level of total incompetence has gone on at board level on the transfer front
  5. Some of the stuff on here is so fucking funny sometimes like the child clip above, love it
  6. Santon and Cissokho, dreamland..............
  7. "If" we're not any better come 11pm wed night even the Ashley sympathisers/eternal optimists will finally have to come to the realisation of how little Ashley cares about the progression of NUFC. NO excuses the proof will be in the pudding.
  8. Atleast the fucking windown will finally be shut on wednesday night
  9. Hopefully Pardew/Carver will be able to give him the confidence to take people on because he clearly has good ball control and pace to burn.
  10. I'd like to think this is the start of our season proper. Good start already with 7 points but the new players have had a couple of games now, fitness levels will be vastly improved which is clearly very important for the likes of Tiote who has looked very off the pace and I'm assuming we'll have ( ) a couple of new signings in the squad. No reason we can't go there and have a good win.
  11. Has always done my head in over the years that you get those people in the crowd who would probably moan and groan if it was the current Barcelona team knocking the ball around.
  12. I'll reserve judgement until he's fully up to speed fitness wise after a few games and has got to know playing with the other players better. I think he'll improve as his confidence improves and at the very least his pace in the side at the moment alone offers a threat we haven't had esp on the counter attack away from home. The fact he's willing to work and tackle is a big plus too. Type of player who doesn't need mongs shouting at him after a few games to truly dent his confidence.
  13. Joey Barton included they're still a weak team that we should be able to cause plenty of problems
  14. I'm pretty confident a left back will be signed, even the dudds at board level realise (surely) that we'll need one for an entire season's campaign. Striker I'm far less confident in fact I think we probably won't end up with another one.

    Joey Barton

I might add I'm fairly non-plus now about the Joey situ (there are other, many other far more glaring concerns, lol) just thought that comment was a pretty good one. Ofcourse not everyone will see it that way and fair enough.

    Joey Barton

Probably a bit both to be fair.

    Joey Barton

This from the true faith message board which I read. May also be one of you from here but agree totally with this comment: "I haven't seen him smile yet having signed for QPR. One can only imagine he woke up this morning and wondered why has has got himself into this situation. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Barton household to try and gauge the mood. He still had 12 months here on 60k a week and at the end of that, he would've still got a move somewhere. He engineered a move away but he did it in the hope of landing a club like Spurs. When it became clear that no one else was interested, he must have panicking about opening his gob. Let's not beat around the bush here. He knew exactly what he was doing when he spoke out on Twitter, it was a situation that was engineered to get him out of NUFC but if you had suggested to Barton that QPR would be the only club interested in taking him at the time, he'd have probably laughed. He had backed himself into a corner and Ashley called his bluff. There is no way in a million years he wanted and/or expected QPR to be his last resort. It's a lesson to anyone who thinks they are bigger than a club or a regime, the grass certainly isn't always greener on the other side, and I say this holding our owner and chief in the contempt they deserve. Even with the current situation in mind, NUFC is a better place to play your football than QPR, every single day of the week."
  18. Much of what's written above will be true about Pardew if this window turns out to be another total disaster. Not long to wait now to find out!
  19. I'd like to think that if it's all very pedestrian and heading for a drab draw, the likes of Marveaux or Sammy might be able to spice things up second half. Be great to get a win here going into the international break. Particularly interested to see how Obertan gets on today.
  20. Yeah I agree, that's the team I think Pardew will send out though, not necessarily what I'd like to see.
