  1. some of the posts in this thread
  2. I like what Collymore has to say generally, he seems to be pretty bang on with a lot of what he says.
  3. I actually take great pleasure in seeing Wolves lose, cant f***ing stand McCarthy and that c*** Henry. I've been honest with a Wolves mate of mine about this fact too,
  4. Oh christ yeah thats all we need a clogger like Henry hacking him down ffs
  5. 20-30 mins tomorrow, a good solid run out in the 2nd half on saturday followed by a bit more training and he'll be ready to start against Wolves if all goes smoothly. They really have to be careful though and ease him back in so I'd prefer to see an approach like this.
  6. Well the difference between scar tissue (which they say it might be) and a cartilage problem (which they've ruled out) is huge.
  7. I don't necessarily mean an entire put decked out in NUFC flags etc, lol But a pub maybe with a Geordie landlord which shows all the Toon matches when on and maybe the odd foreign channel Toon match. I think I read on here there's one down near Oxford Street somewhere but can't remember. Be good to find one so any recommendations would be great. Been down here for years and years but never found one.
  8. Doing things like this just alienates the fans even more ffs. There's sports f***ing direct.com signs all over St James ffs, subs bench seats, Gallowgate stand, on top of the roof, out front. I mean everybody knows he owns sportsdirect ffs, you can't miss the sodding link between NUFC and sportsdirect, christ. St James is just one big advertising hoarding thesedays. What a bell end Ashley is ffs, cringeworthy, total cunt of a bloke
  9. Well that would certainly be a very positive development.
  10. Marveaux should start in league games currently but mongs getting on his back at matches won't do the lad any favours. Still has a lot to offer even if he does look unpredictable with what he does. Might work well with Ben Arfa.

    Leon Best

Our midfield and attacking play is only going to improve and hopefully with the likes of Ben Arfa and Marveaux they'll carve out a load of chances for Best.

    Joey Barton

Funny stuff to read but I'm glad the Barton show has finally moved on.
  13. What on earth is Le Tissier talking about??? Abolsute fucking nonsense, christ.
  14. Hopefully Pardew/Carver can work on Obertan's final delivery but Marveaux has to come in in the next game, looks so much more assured and controlled. I like the idea of Marveaux and Ben Arfa coming into this side.
  15. Well played lads. Tiote and Ba looked a lot sharper and fitter today. I would start Marveaux in the next game, he looks a good'un. What can you say about Cabaye, absolutely class player fair play. I like the idea of Ben Arfa adding some real sharpness in the final 3rd, will make the others better too.
  16. Yeah lets just rush the lad back when he's been out pretty much the whole of last season from September and then a couple of months this season.
  17. Obertan needs a performance today otherwise Marveaux will be in soon plus you've got Ben Arfa on his way back.
  18. Lovenkrands, christ if ever there was a player who symbolised dead wood.
  19. Next match for discussion on soccer saturday.......and talking about Shay Given.
  20. I'm sure I read that he would now have treatment on the knee over this weekend and be assessed early next week to see if he has to have an op of any sort.
  21. It's going to be a case of watching with fingers across the face. If it goes badly wrong and Raylor gets a couple of new arseholes torn into him then teams will go on and target him in the games after this and Pardew may be forced into changing it. I don't obviously want this to happen simply to prove a point but it's an issue which is as clear as a summers day and obvious to everyone.
  22. Ferguson isn't a left back but then niether is Raylor. Fingers crossed for Santon but if it's the recurrence of an old injury that sounds like very bad news to me. Doesn't sound like he'll be back in a few weeks but lets just wait and see.
  23. Gutted for the lad and whats worse is it means we're stuck with Raylor at left back because he won't play Ferguson. It's injuries like this that p*ss all over the "squad is stronger this year" statements. Actually isn't Ferguson injured too?
  24. Defo like the 3 in midfield option either for more security but more so creativity. We don't have two strikers to pull defences about and we need to create more so someone like Marveaux coming in would really benefit.
