It's only rumours to be fair, he'll sign for QPR
-
Surely eventually if they think a player will add to the squad and cover weaknesses they must realise that there's a strong chance that given its january and given the situation they're in they're probably going to have to pay more than they'd like re transfer fees? Too much financial risk if we go down,.
-
Very true. To be fair my mate doesn't shout his mouth off about things, he just knows a lot of people in area including a couple of players/friends of players etc. I usually jokingly prod him for info, Think he grew up near Saylor in Whitley Bay.
-
I heard from my ITK mate that it was around 60k too to be fair including add ons.

Newcastle vs. Reading - 19/01/2013 @ 3pm (not on TV) - DEFINITELY ON

Yeah it's monumental this game...........win and they give themselves breathing space then who knows they may even make a signing and you go to Villa with a lot more confidence. Lose and it really would be incomprehensible. Need the stadium to be rocking for this, Reading will concede its just if we can hold our nerve and not fuck up at the back. We were piss poor going forward against Norwich but this side will get goals. -
-
If he atleast had someone in there who knew something about football even if that person was aware of wage ceilings and stringent financial constraints he might've been able to avoid some of the car crash decision making. That said I suppose he tried that with Wise
-
Still say it's the lack of strengthening. The club finished the season on a high.....fans, players eagerly anticipating the next season with excitement. There was a buzz about the place again. The complete lack of ambition in the summer to push on even with a moderate number of signings seems to have affected the players too. If ever there was something to sum up this regime it was last summer.......absolutely zero ambition and now they've backed themselves into a corner to make signings and stay in the league for the mega bucks next season. Absolutely clueless way to run a club. I agree though the application of some of the players has been piss poor performance wise.
-
Board failed to strengthen with players from a point of strength to keep the momentum going. Been very unlucky with injuries whereas last season apart from Taylor we were very lucky. Too many players playing poorly and a manager who even at times with the better players in the side has seemed clueless this season and lacking ideas.........let alone when we're reduced to all the backups.
-
The true calamity of this situation despite the knock back will be if we fail to bring an alternative in. I think even Ashley and Llambias must realise this will be virtual football suicide if they don't. They can't be that stupid can they?
-
The utter folly of not buying players in the summer
-
Well put. Ultimately I'm not that fussed about Remy given the way this deal has panned out with ludicrous finances. I'm glad the club weren't prepared to break the bank for this player. But a poor end to this window and the same old s*** in the summer and I'll have started to really lose interest completely. The worry about the other players feeling the same and leaving is a real possibility. I've moved back up here having been in London since 1996 but I mean no proper ambition so what's the point in going?

A p*ss poor transfer window this jan and the same old s*** in the summer and I won't bother going really and I've moved back up here from London. -
Couldn't agree more with this. They only have themselves to blame if we go down
-
We are in a disasterous situation though I'll give you that
-
There's plenty wrong with this regime and we've done to death the whole thing about how they fucked up not bringing anyone in in the summer. I don't have any complaints over this though. If the lad doesn't want to come and play for us then move on. We can't get into a situation where agents/players have us over the barrel to pay ludicrous wages like this. Ofcourse the extreme is the carry on like with the Debuchy situation but I don't blame them that they won't get into a wages war with QPR.
-
This really is exceptional though isn't it. QPR is being run appallingly at the moment. They could be heading for ruin financially if things don't come off. Still shit though I agree
-
Yeah you have to hope to god they've done plenty of work on other targets.
-
Dear oh dear spare me the sob story. The club has many, many faults and yes I question the ambition. Always will while Ashley is here. But whats happened today shows the lunacy of football and the madness of wages. Would you rather we threw utterly mad wages at players like QPR? They're playing a very dangerous game. Good luck to them if it comes up, if it doesn't........................potential ruin
-
That's exactly how I feel especially for a player who was apparently a bit lost and looking to find his feet and a new challenge
