  1. Fair enough. Personally I'm completely apathetic about this game. If we play like this against Norwich then I'll be firmly in your camp.
  2. What were people honestly expecting with this side out? I'm judging him after the next 3 league games when he's got a proper side out. If it's the same old shit after those games and we're still in the mire then yes I'll probably be in the ""he's lost it completely" camp
  3. Coloccini/Cisse carrying minor knocks. Taylor/Cabaye not ready yet, back for Norwich hopefully. Debuchy not eligible. Marveaux played at Old Trafford/Emirates and against Everton so for a player very injury prone I'd say it's a good idea to rest him with massive league games coming up.
  4. Really want to see him and HBA operating in the same side. Gives us two players who can take people on.

You'd like to think that playing with Cabaye, Debuchy, Cisse, HBA, Marveaux et al in front of 52,0000 week in week out for a club far less likely to go down would sway things in our favour wouldn't you.
  6. Given we haven't won away from home all season I should probably file all the away games under "expecting nothing"
  7. All tough games really but............ Winnable vital home games: Reading Southampton Fulham Stoke (Stoke aren't the same away from home) Difficult home games: Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea Mackems (never can tell with a derby) Crucial away games:.... QPR Villa Wigan Away games where some points might be possible Norwich Swansea West Ham West Brom Away games nothing expected at all Man City Spurs

"If" that's the case and he chooses QPR over us simply for a few more shillings we're probably best without him anyway. Like I said though "if" Sounds like pure speculation to me though.

OM are prepared to let him go but they're not just going to hand him over so it'll be the usual wrangling for a bit over transfer fee. They'll want as much as they can get so it won't happen over night. Seems there's genuine interest there though.
  10. I'm already looking forward to his home debut against Reading. Will be in the Gallowgate willing the fucker on down the right
  11. Shola never plays well when he starts. Umpteen managers put him on as a sub and he does well and they're then fooled into starting him the next game. It NEVER works and managers NEVER seem to pick up on this

"If" we sign him I'll have every confidence he'll do well. Carr has been scouting most of these players for a few years and they aren't bought on a whim. There's a risk with every transfer but Ashley doesn't part with approx 10m on a player who probably won't cut the mustard.

http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/kickoff/130103/auclair-debuchy-newcastle-and-qprs-interest-remy-188538 Auclair is usually on the money, apologies if someone else has already posted. "Been out of form and a big gamble" but "bags of talent" and needs to re-launch his career.
  14. Once the match starts I'll probably be much more up for it than I'm feeling now. Agree that a win, any win would build some confidence. It's just exactly the sort of match we lose. Can see Williamson getting bundled over or slipping and the winner going in cue massive ITV "one of the greatest upsets EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" type carry on
  15. To be honest I'd care more if we were higher up the league and there was zero risk of going down. Then there might be more of an interest to progress in the competition as it'd still be a fantastic cup to win. As it is the focus is squarely on keeping players fit and what type of team we'll turn out for Norwich away.
  16. Same here. His attitude may have been good on the pitch but it can't be good for a team with that hanging over them.
  17. Yeah even if he was pretty set on leaving for family reasons or whatever and was honest with Pardew you'd hope Pardew would say to him "just give me everything until the end of the season"
  18. Problem is even with Debuchy at the back which will sure things up a bit in terms of defending and keeping the ball Saylor could quite easily re-injure himself as proved before and then you're back to square one relying on Williamson. Goals win matches so I suppose if you had to choose one or the other we have to bring in a striker to cover Ba's departure. But that's still russion roulette leaving the centre back position hideously exposed. But BOTH ffs
