Yeah it seems odd. That being said they’re probably going to start getting quite ruthless so there could be some surprise developments. Not really sure about Ramsdale, I always thought he was pretty good, better than Pope with his feet and still a great shot stopper. Can’t see it happening though.
-
Yes I think we’ll still need his experience next season but it wouldn’t entirely shock me if it happened.
-
I think he’ll be even better for us next season when we bring in a new RW which will spread the field more and create space.
-
Anyone else think he might be off this summer? I still think he’s got another season with us but rotating more with Tino. I just wonder if someone comes in with a bid he might be moved on?
-
His one redeeming feature was always his shot stopping but that seems to have gone now too. Has no control of the game in terms of reading play and coming out, seems glued to his six yard box. Was truly awful the other night and his time has come to move on.
-
From Howes comments it sounds like they could be pretty ruthless this summer. Squad needs upgrading, more clinical players, deadwood needs clearing out. The time has come for Wilson, Miggy, Ritchie, Dummet to all be moved on (I think Murphy might still be kept as a squad player). I just hope with less injuries next season and squad additions we see less of Murphy, Longstaff etc. Christ imagine having a genuine second striker who can stay fit too.
-
Yes Longstaff and Anderson were completely ineffectual yesterday. Bruno constantly has to carry the midfield. I hope Tonali can help with this moving forwards. Still feel like we lack creativity at times from midfield in final 3rd but it was our finishing which was the issue yesterday.
-
He’ll learn the defensive positioning as he goes, his fitness will improve but his ball control, passing and shooting looks class.
-
There was an interview with him on talksport where he sounded pretty comprehensive in saying LB was now his position even though he’s played in midfield. Also said there’s plenty to work on but sounded generally upbeat and confident in how he came across.

That’s how I feel, not looking forward to today lol -
Yeah he’s not up to it, will go in the summer
-
Agree he has to finish that 3 on 1 or square it back to Gordon or whateve. In reality this game was tailor made for the back up striker as Isak clearly wasn’t 100% but Wilson simply cannot stay fit.

We just haven’t been good enough tonight. Started slowly and wasted just so many chances. These were there for the taking but I guess it’s a reminder of the absolute of some of our squad. -

Pretty poor so far ? -
I guess we’ll all know pretty soon, going to be a very interesting summer.
-
The only way that works is if they bring in another young striker to rotate in or RW who can play striker but Gordon has shown that’s not really filling the strikers role properly. But it’s a risky strategy given Wilson has proved he just cannot stay fit and that puts immense pressure on Isak.
-
CBs aside (assuming the two free transfers come in) RW and striker surely has to be priority. Yes there’s other areas we could improve but a genuine back up for Isak who can stay fit and a proper RW are vital.
-
Agree about Tosin, Kelly and a top quality RW. I just can’t see how we can go into neither season with Wilson and Isak as strikers as Wilson is permaninjured. Need another option if Wilson stays.

6’2, fast, athletic, looks good on the ball. Hoping he signs, seems likely.
