  1. I had one of those characters next to me in the Palace home match in the league. Botman was shite, Isak a waste of money, life apparently is shit. Called everyone shit every time they lost the ball, full of rage. Stay at home Ffs
  2. Bloke is an absolute monster
  3. Yeah it’s not like we’re playing 442 is it ffs. A front 3 can be fluid as Liverpool show. Wilson is obviously the most obvious number 9 we have, Isak plays slightly differently.
  4. I think you’re getting your nickers in a twist a bit too much about this and massively exaggerating other points to make your point. Isak’s best position is as probably a number 9, he’s said that himself. However he can play across the front 3 and it’s not black and white that either Isak or Wilson will play. There will be some games where both play because it’ll suit our attacking play. Either way let’s just let Howe decide and pick the team eh ?
  5. Whatever Howe decides to do I’ll be happy with and if that means on occasion Isak playing wide with Wilson through the middle then fine ?
  6. If ASM has nil fitness issues I hope he starts with Wilson and Miggy given Leicester’s defence. Isak from the bench. Move Joelinton back into midfield. I wonder though if may do what he did in the cup match and start Isak and give him another 45-60 mins in a 3 with Wilson and try and win the tie in the first half. It’s good we’ve got options either way.
  7. I think he’ll get 25 mins or so tonight and then might well start v Fulham.
  8. Jan transfer window always kicks off in last 10 days. There’s s lot of posturing, watching and waiting before moves are made.
  9. I think we’ll have too much for them at home particularly with their injuries and our crowd. Hardly going to be a walkover but with ASM probably available and Isak an option too we’re looking pretty solid on top of the usual defensive stability and Bruno’s influence.
  10. I wonder whether we might see it against Fulham. Isak will get some minutes tomorrow night and then they’ll have the rest of the week to train. His pace, trickery and goal threat will cause teams all sorts of problems particularly if you’ve got Miggy the other side. Nightmare to defend against
  11. Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how Howe (ha) utilises his attacking options now he has a full deck of cards so to speak. I think there’ll be a tendency to go more attacking at home in due course.
  12. Yeah I think they’ll definitively have him on a strength and conditioning plan. He’s not going to play the same as Wilson (certainly not straight away as lacks the strength) and his play as a 9 is probably suited more to playing on the counter and playing on the shoulder of defenders with quick balls in like his first goal v Liverpool. I think they’ll utilise his footwork with the ball to open teams up at home one side of Wilson.
  13. Im in block M in Gallowgate can’t wait, don’t feel nervous, I think we’ll do them. Whose out for them though, is Maddison back?
  14. Im sure I’ve read (can’t remember where) he can play either but his preferred side is right.
  15. Signing those two would be immense but it’s probably just rehashing old/current rumours. I’d be amazed if we brought two in of that calibre. Leverkeusen are hardly pulling up any trees though so a Jan move might make sense. It’s always felt like Maddison would go in the sunmer.
  16. So let’s say v Fulham next weekend (or even tomorrow), all strikers and wingers are fit, who plays? I still think he’ll play a front 3 which could include Isak, Wilson and either Miggy or ASM. Isak will be key against teams playing a low block. I just don’t think its as clear cut as either Wilson or Isak plays but yes Isak will get time as a number 9 with Wilson’s undoubted injuries and as his minutes are managed. As far as Wood goes he’ll be gone in the summer and we’ll probably look to bring in a young striker as a 3rd option. I agree though it’ll be interesting to see what Howe does and it’d s good problem to have.
  17. How long is lefty on his contract here? I can see a championship club signing him
  18. Howe sensibly managing his minutes. Played most of Arsenal game after recent sickness and clearly Howe wants him fresh for a vital cup quarter final and important home fixture v Fulham where we can capitalise on sided around us playing each other. Missing FA cup seemed fairly obviously to me.
  19. Eventually yes not straight away no. Isak allows them to manage Wilson’s minutes and gives them more options across a front 3.
  20. He’s a good pro, he was important I helping with that vital 9 match unbeaten run last season. But he’s just not good enough as a forward and he’ll be moved on in the summer with a good few others hopefully.
  21. I think he lessens the importance of finding cover at right this month. He defends well and he’s quick.
  22. I guess the hope is that after this jan and next summer the reliable, quality pool of players goes from 13-14 up to 15-16+. Either way you get my point and that pool will have to increase if we’re in Europe.
  23. I think he’s gone next summer and that’ll go with a general big clear out.
