A striker like Sesko, a new RW and a couple free transfers like Tosin and Kelly is doable. I agree though I don’t see where the funds are available for any other major signings.

It’s almost like Howe knows what he’s doing with him. Classy on the ball, can attack, just needs to develop his defensive side and develop naturally over time.

A number 2 striker who doesn’t miss 2/3rds of the season and a game changing RW who scores goals together with some solid defensive back up and we’re looking pretty good really.

I think we need more than that to be honest, greater depth. Just look at City and Arsenals squad depth. But we have the makings of a seriously good side.

Sure but the club has to box clever with its spending. RW and striker will cost serious cash. Assuming it happens it makes sense to me at least.

Where do people see his role next season when he’s back? I mean we’ve only seen him in a few games so it’s difficult to assess his role fully. I guess if Bruno stays the question is how Howe uses them both in midfield. He is the proverbial “like a new signing”.

Extremely short sighted viewpoint. Both are premier league starters, Kelly is still young, is fast and will only get better and there’s the bonus that he can fill in at LB if needed too. Tosin has qualities we lack I.e pace and would be a solid addition. Signing both on free transfers bolsters the defence (and improves our back line speed) until Botman returns and allows significant outlay on positions like striker and RW., positions which will be expensive.

Anyone with any construction knowledge know how long (roughly) would completion of the Gallowgate extension take if it was cleared to go ahead? Did I see 8000 extra seated mooted?

He's exactly what Arsenal need/want but we took a punt on him and they didn’t. Realistically they probably know he’s not for sale currently.

They could sell it to him as being the “final peace in the puzzle” to deliver the title (assuming they come up short this season). Theyre also well stacked on most areas other than striker so could probably go all out for a striker. I just don’t see us selling him this summer though as it would completely derail our plans and it would take Isak to agitate for a move. The fee would be massive too particularly as he’s probably about to sign a new contract. The likelihood is he signs a new contract, stays, fires us into the champions league next season then probably stays or we don’t make champions league and we sell him next summer for some ridiculous fee.

Howe always talks Targett up but due to Burns form and his injuries he’s barely kicked a ball recently. Realistically how much is he going to play moving forwards? Wilson also seems like a no brainer to move on in terms of the financial aspect. Plus if club brings in a young, exciting 2nd striking option (e.g Sekso type signing) then he becomes a bit part player and I’m still not convinced he’d be happy with that considering he still has a few decent years left in him. Time will tell. I still think we need 3 strikers even if the 3rd option is Wilson or a young development option.
