Disagree, they had plenty late goals last season but the way they played meant they lost a whole loads of games. I’m still not convinced by ETH and what he’s trying to do with the team in terms of how they play.

And having someone who has pace as well as being good on the ball means we can push up a bit and close that gap between midfield and defence which killed us at times last season (together with Pope being out who helps with that too). He can also go up against quick strikers which is a weakness of ours too though Kelly and Tino help with this.

I think some people need to let the club run things and worry if they happen when they happen. Granted there’s an argument that they shouldn’t have got themselves into the situation re PSR at the end of June. But they don’t appear to be behaving recklessly as per Chelsea so for me I’m just happy to let things play out, I don’t get that worried about PSR ramifications with signings.

I think also worth noting is they’ve been pretty bang on with transfers so far. It’s a lot of money but Fofana went to Chelsea for 60m ff. Palace wanted 70, we’ve 65, it’s hardly like we’ve bent over for them. There’s always a risk but I think it would be an awesome signing
