Miggy hit that ridiculous purple patch when we qualified for the champions league, he’s not going to do that again. Murphy is in great form and fully deserves to start. We’ve been crying out for a better on option on the RW for ages though. Howe also said last summer that Barnes can play right but we’ve never seen that. Our best current option I think is Barnes left and Gordon right in terms of goal threat.

Great he’s doing really well and I prefer watching him than Miggy but he’s still not good enough to be our starting RW if we’re aiming for top four. People are kidding themselves if they think he’s good enough.
  3. Which is a mental position to be in, that potentially we don’t have the capacity to buy two players who can start in the first team. I think outgoings will allow a new RW to come in, needs to happen too.
  4. How much have West Ham spent now then, must be loads? Some great signings, not entirely sold on their manager though.
  5. 😂 I feel pretty relaxed currently but if we haven’t brought anyone in next week I’ll start to get a bit twitchy. i think Guehi will be wrapped up next week and a RW by end of the window. Be loads of brinkmanship going on at the moment.
  6. I agree but at least when he does play his strike rate is pretty good. The arrival of the young lad does lighten the load on Isak in terms of minutes thankfully. Wilson needs replacing unfortunately we can’t do everything this window and he’ll be gone by next season.
  7. His latest injury and the fact PSR has restricted recruitment means we’ve clearly decided to focus on CB, RW and then being in the development striker rather than moving Wilson on and spending a wedge on a replacement. I guess they’ll just hope they can get what they can in terms of goals and accept he’s going to be missing for large parts of the season. Definitely his last season for us though. (Maybe a departure in January if we were able to replace?)
  8. Totally get why anyone feeling threatened wouldn’t go to this particularly if you were black or Asian. Absolute disgrace people should feel like this from those horrific ghouls, fucking wankers the lot of them. I do hope the swift and severe sentences has quashed the whole thing now and Dave Bloggs who’s planning on rioting as thick as he is is probably questioning it with a potential long sentence and job loss on the horizon.

Yeah totally, looks like he has something about him. I think I read he can play wide right too?

6’4, strong and fast certainly gives him a decent start and raw attributes. I mean 20 min run outs to test a tired defence with his pace sounds pretty good. He’ll learn loads from Isak and Wilson too.

    Marc Guehi

Hopefully we’ll see movement on this over the weekend, would give everyone a massive boost. Big deals often to time to be fair.
  12. Kelly on 150k. Fuck off 😂😂 Targett on 100k, fuck off 😂
  13. Agreed. His poor form initially I think was related to “off field” issues. The end of the season he looked off the pace following injury. I don’t doubt he’ll probably be back to somewhere close to his best for the start of the season but I can still see us selling him to aid bringing in a RW signing (or maybe a higher calibre signing)
  14. We potential had no other option then due to our dire situation, we don’t have to sell now so there’s a big difference.
  15. Unless Gordon “wants” to leave he won’t but with two years left on his contract we will have to sell if he fancies Pool. New contract incoming if he doesn’t go that’s for sure. The issue with selling him is he’s integral to what we do and then you have to find a replacement. I tend to think if Guehi comes in (they supposedly get in very well) then that’s another reason he’ll stay.

    Marc Guehi

The thing is if Guehi does come in and plays on the left of central defence eventually (Schar right) Howe might be more encouraged to play Hall because he knows he has pace at the back to offset Hall going forward or any potential defensive lapses (Hall isn’t slow either to be fair).

    Marc Guehi

Yeah would also like to think that v Southampton at home Howe would look for more offensive threat from LB which Hall gives. He’s had a good preseason and is up to speed whereas Kelly isn’t up to speed yet. I actually think it’ll be Hall, Burn, Schar and Tino (or Trippier). Obviously if Guehi comes in before the first game then Howe would have to decide whether to start him.
  18. He's already back I think, sure I heard the lads on all with smiling faces pod say that

10m for a striker is nowt in this day and age let’s be honest. They’ve clearly identified his qualities and think he’s worth a punt. Very hard to get a 3rd option striker happy to sit behind two other strikers. Chances are with Wilson’s injuries he’ll get plenty of game time anyway.
  20. Who knows but I think we will have earmarked right CB and RW as the key positions and will get it done one way or another. There’s just no way we can go into another season with Murphy and Miggy as our RW options (yes I know Gordon can play right side too). I think I’ll explode if that happens 😂
  21. I think you’ve made a really good point here. I think they’ll strengthen at RW but it might be taking a bit more of a chance on a player in the 30-35m range which is fine to be fair considering we’ve done well with previous players in that range. Be interesting to see what happens.
  22. Me either, it’s unbearable 😂
