    Steve McClaren

Only positive is having Carr and Manager working together could be beneficial and we won't have players sitting around that should be playing. That's the only thing I can think of.
  2. To be honest, it's probably a bit unfair to McClaren that we've already labeled him as a sycophant on Pardew and Carver's level when he's already turned down the job once He didn't turn it down, he was just hedging his bets. If Derby had got promoted he'd have stayed, plus he would have been fearful of getting relegated with us if he did take the job with 3 games to go. Right, so for those reasons, he turned it down. Like I said, hedging his bets. Otherwise why is he still in the frame for the job now? If you believe the press speculation, it seems he's still going to be interviewed for the job this week, as is Vieira, although I find that one more unlikely myself. What I mean is, why do we assume that he'll do whatever Ashley says just to get/stay in the job when he's already turned down the job once when the conditions didn't suit him? I get that he's unexciting and all that (although even then, he's probably far too good for the shithole that is NUFC right now), but is there any reason to label him an Ashley sycophant other than the fact that he's English? This is the man that was pretending to have a Dutch accent and er how you say in English conform like a spineless c*** after he got off the plane. He'll be speaking mercenary borrow boy bullshit within minutes of getting the job. Still can't figure out how he could possibly have thought that was a good idea Maybe he lost a bet. So awful to watch.

  4. There's something not right about him though, he's hot that unquantifiable dickishness. He's a wrong un, but I can't put my finger on why.
  5. I'd get rid of Beardsley too complete clear out. Not gonna happen like.
  6. We need our own version of the Rooney Rule for NUFC, we should have to interview someone expensive and proven.

Burnley always tried to play football the right way imo, sadly the squad of players he had was simply not good enough. Would be a good appointment for them for sure.
  8. Sports car surely. I'm so sorry.
  9. Ashley never going to pay for a manager at his peak so it leaves either taking a gamble on potential or someone at the tail end of their career. So this would be at interesting appointment.

    The Liverpool Thread

They use a moneyball type database and a transfer committee. Aka a roulette wheel with the hottest transfer targets of 2012 on it.
  13. Dat wage bill saving. I like Ramsey, hope he does well in the championship and brings them back up. No love for QPR, but he's done well picking up the shambles left by Saggy.

    Mike Ashley

I'm not wanting to back Ashley here at all because I believe he's all smoke and mirrors, however what you have said is bullshit. Looking someone in the eye is often a major sign of lying. Looking up (either to the left or right depending on which hand you right with) is a signal of either recalling information or fabricating information. Someone's been watching Lie to Me. It's actually one of my favourite shows, however I followed Dr Ekman's work long before then and is the area of psychology I want to pursue research in. I got a first for it in one of my exams earlier in the year. Lick
  16. Meanwhile we want Mclaran or captain lick a lot El Lick is already plotting next seasons Willo.

Watched the game at a mates sound was off prematch genuine WTF moment when I saw him on the screen being interviewed. Let across room to turn sound up. Genuinely rattled? Will revert to type now safe presumably.
