  1. The team was that good i was even blinded by the fact Cisse wasn't playing. I'm with you on that one.

As good as Robert's set pieces were, we were still a bunch a moody frustrated kernts around the stadium, when corners would hit first man or just fly over the top of everybody or when his set pieces would end up in level 7 on a regular occasion Robert had his fair share of people waiting to pounce on every mistake. bless him
  3. I liked Aimar but always favoured Riquelme. Two fantastic players though.
  4. I've went lose by 1 but think shall be good game and give good account of ourselves, possibly done by a late winner. 3-2.

Not sure i'll witness that again, even HBA will struggle to out beat that performance.
  6. Has England produced a better goal scoring midfielder than Lampard?
  7. What was Scholes for England? Misused and wasted. So surely he can't go down as one of the greatest then if we misused and wasted him regardless of his achievements at club level?
  8. What was Scholes for England?
  9. no you loon ...hes been conisistently ave while playing IN an england shirt. Admitedly hes had to play under various insane managers and their wacky teams selections/tactics. I guess youhave to compare him to scholes or gazza ? Perhaps his midfield role is ill defined in englands team vs chelsea....cos he seems to muddle through a fair few matches. Couldn't lace eithers boots. Good post that Womblemaster Yet Scholes was the one who was dropped from the side in favour of Lampard or shafted out on the left a fair few times? People seem to forget the stick Scholes got at international level because he regularly never transferred his form for Man Utd over to England. You're on drugs man . Clearly, by stating a fact that Lampard/Gerrard were both given a CM role over him? Was only 10 year ago...ish. Not saying Sven was correct in his decision but this was the case, unless i was on drugs back then too and just created this whole illusion? He wasn't dropped you goon, he retired. He was shunted left to accommodate Lampard and this was the reason wht ge retired. Sven obviously had more confidence in sticking Scholes there rather than Lampard. Capello did the same to Gerrard in 2010. So me saying he was shafted out to the left was correct then. He huffed at the decision and retired, yeah what an all time great he was.
  10. Goals don't count it doesn't seem.

He was played out wide for England, a waste of the best English midfielder we've produced in years Not denying he isn't. However he was often criticised in the media for not producing the same form he showed for Man Utd.

  14. I've never really been a Lampard fan but the last year or two, i've really come to appreciate what he has actually achieved, for club and country. For that reason i do think you would have to say he is one of the greats that we have ever produced. Is he f***, he is part and parcel of an England side that has been cock for years . I've seen 10 to 15 better midfielders for England in my lifetime comfortably. I think you're clouding your judgement on Lampard’s achievements on the basis of England's failures with him in the side. Which in my opinion, is unfair. There's been many sides around the world who have had a talented crop of players but have failed to get their act together as a team and perform on the big stage.

Ben Arfa is the best player i've seen in a Newcastle shirt in the past 12 year (bar Shearer).
  17. Yep. Might even get a few mackems in now which will only help the cause. So much niceness for the darkside
  18. Still there mate. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/gareth-bale/total-la-liga-goals Some winnings from last night going onto Bale too. I'm on william hill but can't find it anywhere on the mobile site now where i placed the first bet. At work and can't access that link, what bookmakers are still offering it, might open an account and just place with them. You're right, Will Hill don't have it anymore it seems - think they've realised they've made a big mistake setting it at 13.5 at odds of 5/6. Ladbrokes are still far and way the best value. Over 14.5 @ 11/10. Failing that, Betvictor are 10/11 on 14.5, Skybet 11/10 on 15.5. I only got evens for 14.5 with hills so might just open ladbrokes account and see if they have any sort of match bet for new customers. thanks for the info.
