2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America
BrettNUFC replied to LucaAltieri's topic in Football
Tbf he was carrying a slight injury recently which is why you may have just thought he was dropped when probably rested or along those lines. If you play PSG away (Tues) then rested in PL (Sat), then start against PSG again (wed), i think that shows he's still very much a starter in the side. Jose preferred Oscar over Hazard in the 10 role and has stated often how highly he rates Oscar, very much a big player for him. -

Course he is Is he? I'll admit I don't watch every game they play but the last few I've seen he hasn't been starting Definitely still a starter, usually just brought off without fail. Didn't start against Atletico as it wasn't his type of game but i'd imagine he'll be back in at home. Aye he diiiiid Aye he did what? If you mean started on Tuesday, he certainly didn't, i took him fg He definitely did man Go throw some darts, man. -

First goal...i like to back Oscar as you get a half decent price on him. He started both legs against PSG. -

Tactically (under Mourinho) they are similar. They'll work hard defensively but burst forward with pace and strength on the counter and can do so for 90 minutes easily. Similarly, when presented with a deep defence they'll both struggle to create going forward. And for Mourinho - they have to do both. Ramires played a game on the wing under Jose so now they get tactically compared? It was one match? -

More than Willian, no chance. Two completely different players though. Ramires and Paulinho are two comparable players. Willian is a completely different type. Would be like comparing Sissoko to Ben Arfa. Only Pardew can do that. Yeah just posted after that -

Not sure why Willian is being put in with Ramires and Paulinho though, doesn't even play in their position or have similar attributes. Paulinho in the middle is obviouslt preferred choice and rightly so. -

Their manager will know him. Better Roma than the PL I suppose. Probably looking to get another Gervinho but one with a brain. Watching Gervinho for Roma is hilarious - he'll skin 4 people with stepovers and flicks and all that, then he'll trip over a piece of cheese and catch his pants in a fence and everyone will go "silly Gervinho!" Gervinho has looked a lot better over there, actually been rather impressed with him at times. He still has that 'silly Gervinho' in him and always will but he's not as bad as people like to make out after his stint with Arsenal.

Willian, is spot on. Harsh judging a player on his price tag, not their fault if a club pays over the odds for them. He’s not worth 30 million but he’s still a gifted player. Willian offers Chelsea a hell of a lot and has got better and better as the season has progressed and he's had a solid first season in the PL. Goals and assists will come in time at Chelsea, i'm sure of it. He's offering Jose so much defensively as well though that it takes a shine off his ability in the final third but it will come. -
Bollocks, great strike tbf.

Juve just made our corners look exciting with their last two attempts.

Very surprised Moyes has drew 4 votes, fucking hell

What a result for Madrid, over the moon with that performance. Alonso and Modric bossed the midfield. Was disappointed with Isco tonight and Di Maria offensively but both still put their shift in. Credit to Benzema, started and finished the move for the goal, not his biggest fan but that was excellent. Can't wait for second leg now, Bayern will have to go up multiple gears from tonights performance if they want to progress. Ronaldo and Bale on the counter will be a massive test for them but they are still more than capable of a world class showing, they just haven't showed signs of it for a fair while now.

Always feels wrong laughing at peoples misfortunes, but that was a funny post Don't lie, you love it

It's hardly a city you'd want to live in if you had you pick if anywhere, like. Yeah I hate culture, art, nice food, good architecture personally. Paris is shit, like. So underwhelming given it's reputation.

I'm thinking the same, thought Real's best chance would have been in the final against Bayern. Think over two legs Bayern will be too strong, as much as I hate to say it.
-
Exactly the same as this one, cagey. Yeah, but I mean will Jose just park the bus again or will he look to take control of the game. Atletico imo are better when playing on the counter so Jose might be wary to take control but at the same time, he knows he needs to win the match unless he fancies another 0-0 and then pens.
