It hurts the amount of talent you lot will be leaving home to watch on the TV, criminal He did get overrun and can see where you're coming from but he'll benefit from such experience and it's a bit of a luxury they can blend him in rather than just throw him in at the deep end. Should be a big player in the years to come.

Is there any chance of Isco making the World Cup squad if he keeps this sort of form up, or has he missed his flight already, VI?
-
'we did a really good job' fucking hell
-
Or we could just have none of them, aye?

I thought Modric was struggling at first and might not cut it but he's really turned himself around now. Isco's had an unfortunate season where he's struggled to find a position for him in the side, hate seeing him on the bench but then sometimes you look at the line-up and there's not much choice. Whenever he's been called upon he's rarely let them down though, has adapted very well given he’s in and out a lot. Alonso is becoming more of a liability, made the same remarks for Xavi and Barca last season when i couldn't believe they weren't giving Thiago more game time instead of him. I'd like to Illarramendi come in for Alonso more rather than beside, fresher legs but also got the eye for an intelligent pass.

Can't believe Madrid won playing a 4-4-2. Bale had a decent game and scored a super goal but wouldn't it had made more sense for him to play wide and Isco off the front man? Wasn't like Bale was trying to get in behind you guys. Madrid have been at their best this season when they've gone to play their natural game. I guess the loss to Barca and Dortmund away has made Ancelotti change gears in big games. Madrid tore Atleti apart in the cup but that's been the only times they've been able to do it against a top side. Alonso's lack of mobility is becoming a real issue. Dropping Isco back into the deeper role proved to be a masterclass decision, he was superb at picking up the ball and then picking out the intelligent passes out to start quick counters. So much love for Isco I was surprised though as you say that he didn't have Isco and Bale wide men with Di Maria in the deeper role in which he was so good in the previous match against Barca. The 4-4-2 did counter really well though and were solid enough defensively to stop a poor Barca. Won't be long for Madrid till Alonso is fazed out, he's becoming less and less involved in the big games, Modric helps him out so much.

He looked sick as a chip Mind, if i was as good as him and i seen a million crosses being whipped into the box when i'm dwarfed by two 6ft plus defenders, i'd be sick as a chip too. He literally didn't even go in the box second half, just stood outside it in some sort of huff

I'd honestly rather have Bigi stepped up than have Colback.
-
Taylor/Ben Arfa got injured against Stoke so he can't count them on his list for an excuse to why result never came against Stoke So that's 7 when pushing it, 10
-
Doubt he'll go with that formation again though. Swansea love to flood the midfield so can see us filling that area up to STOP THEM. Debuchy Willo Colo Dummett Anita Gosling Tiote Gouffran Remy Cisse It will end up something pathetic like that imo.
-
MYM in for Taylor and Haidara in for Dummett. I'd accept that.

He's not a bad footballer. Obviously shouldn't start every game but he'd do a better job than the dross we've got on the bench. I take my Dzeko stance back, Giroud must be better. Mentalist

*sigh* sadly enough, that actually worked that game. Why sadly? That was a great tactic and completly shut Hull down because of it. He ended up running the show at SJP so we worked on a way to stop him. De Jong had a very good game as well, not just stopping Huddlestone either. Linked up very well with Remy and probably had his best game for us, shame he's yet to see Remy since.

Wouldn't mind seeing Neil's view on Barkley's fitness. Under Martinez he always seems to be in and out of the side, subbed on/off. You'll see him have a storming game then the next match he'll be on the bench. A lot of quick games in succession in that heat and my worry with Barkley is if he has the engine and fitness in him to come through it?

So basically everyone just puts their house on an Arsenal win

Not this drop Rooney shite again

My name not dropped! I'm in the N-O Pardew out camp now, fuck you Ian and Slim, silly blind (insert magic word)

I agree with this, like. Same order for me.

Dzeko has 7 assists in PL, FA/League Cup.
-
Dzeko has the same in the league man. Dzeko has never been the first striker for City, he's finally gotten some games lately and is doing it decently. It's not easy to be a goalscorer a la Suarez when you have Aguero who is a level above most in this league ahead of you. I'm not saying Dzeko is the best striker in the world or anything like that, I'm just saying that he's a better striker than most give credit for on here. He's got 1 assist in the league man. Always a dangerous game going off my 'stats' is your stat wrong? I'm not sure it is. I had a look and he wasn't even on the top PL assists page. I'll double check like Naaaaa, was off ESPN for PL only, usually spot on them

I didn't rate him when he was here, preferred Bigi. Fair play to him though he's went up Scotland and currently over in Greece and working hard to be a success. Can't fault his attitude. Interesting to see if we bring him back and see how he is next season.

I've just always thought Dzeko would improve for moving to a Spurs or somewhere like that where he would be playing week in, week out. He reminds of wor Ade but with better work rate, obvs not as good as Ade though
