  1. That's a complete separate midfield and defence. Wasn't the case for Chelsea. Say Jose was in charge for Man City and set the team out, you're telling me this wouldn't be competitive yesterday. Milner Garcia Toure Navas Kolarov Lescott Kompany Richards Chelsea still had a handful of regular starters out yesterday. Mikel/Lampard were playing because they miss mid week anyways through suspension.
  2. Milner Garcia Rodwell Navas Kolarov Lescott Nastatic Richards That's a complete separate midfield and defence, i'm sure if they had a few players missing there is more than enough there to be competitive in the manner Chelsea were if they set their stall out to defend.
  3. I don't see why someone like Wenger has never took the gamble on him. It is interesting to see where Ben Arfa goes after us and if he gets his career back on track. Wish things would happen here for him but it's becoming increasingly unlikely. As for Wenger though, he could get Ben Arfa for a minimal fee and he would be a great addition to his squad, i'd have him over Podolski anyday of the week.
  4. Nothing to say you're right about, our season has just been average, many predicted (including yourself) a relegation battle, I've always said we would be nowhere near that and we haven't. Only thing I've started to sway opinion on is the fact now i'm willing to take Ashley's gamble. I was hoping to never have to see him appoint another manager again but this summer is so crucial for us, I simply don't think we can afford to let Pardew deal with it anymore the way things have panned out the second half of the season. Many wanted this change far earlier and that's fair enough, i gave him the chance and things were going more than 'fine' up until Boxing Day, since then everything has crumbled to this mess, he now needs to go. If he's still in charge next season, i'll support him and the team to turn it around but be far less confident of it happening. I don't want us to lose matches, i don't want our fans to travel around the country and constantly be embarrassed by our performances, i want us to start winning football matches again.
  5. Cruyffed the s*** out of it, cya Pards. it's good cos we can be smug about how right we were, and how wrong you were I still maybe right if he's here next season to turn it around...one last chance
  6. I thought you were a soopafan that didn't do this? Acceptable causing a negative atmosphere in my mam's nanna's living room. Different circumstances when they can hear thousands shouting abuse to ruin their confidence levels furthur fyp
  7. I'm thankful Walcott isn't playing as then this could have really turned embarrassing, his pace scares us to death. Ox is a due a start from Wenger and he's looked in cracking form of late, if he starts he will rip us apart. Podolski has been smashing everything in lately so he’s nailed on for a goal.
  8. Hope Pardew's Newcastle win 5-0 tonight, that better for you

  10. Aye suppose we've had a couple of them along the way but none as such like Abeid where we are thinking when he comes back lets pop him in the first team and see how he does. This feels more like how a loan should work, get him out on loan, get the experience, bring him back to your club and play them
  11. I do want us to win. I'll still be moaning and groaning at our players when they are shit or ref cocks up or cheering if we score but if the battering comes along it certainly won't hurt like any 'normal game'. That will still feel like maybe one more step to Ashley sacking him even though i do feel we are some way off that yet.
  12. No matter what team we fielded tonight, we would still get trounced in all fairness. Arsenal won't be letting that 4th spot slip now, no chance.
  13. Shows how bad we were against Southampton as it would have been double the score had it not been for him.
  14. I'm not sure if i like Shelvey or not. He was highly rated with Charlton, i thought he was a laughing stock at Liverpool, sold for what i thought was an outrageous transfer fee, and now for Swansea has had a mixture of quality and calamity. I don't laugh at him as much now but not sure i'm at the point where i want him here, even though he's probably still learning and improving.
  15. Have we had any outfield players that have actually had a successful loan stint like this before? Feels strange
  16. He'll be massivley up for this game knowing he's got scouts watching him. He might even snatch and grab us 3 points
  17. He's right with that though, it is frustrating because we were 3 points behind Liverpool Boxing Day. On the whole of things it's just been an average season. If someone said before the season you'd finish top half with 45-50 points, i'd have taken it after last season. The way the second half of the season has turned into this much of a disaster though on top of having no cup run has basically just ruined us all. There's literally not one thing you can be positive about anymore, expectations were raised after the first half of the season then all expectation was crushed in the second half and it’s back to relegation talk in the near future.
  18. That was quality by Alves, picks it up, scrans it, then takes the corner
