  1. Exactly. Don't you watch football for enjoyment like? Yes, but I'm also a fan of a particular club and I want that club to win as many games as possible. If it was just entertainment I could easily just watch Real Madrid on the telly. This
  2. You'll be lucky Probably find a drunken rant how you're all Pardew hating dickheads and Newcastle are the best team in the world
  3. The reason i back Pardew a lot on here, is i feel the stick he gets is way over the top. If i was a Man Utd fan i probably would be behind the stick for Moyes because i know the next appointment would be a world class proven manager. I'm not convinced that's the case here, a complete lottery if anything now. Always maintained happy for Ashley to prove me wrong and Pardew was sacked i'd be more fearful than disappointed. In relation to me not putting a post like that on after one of our games, mainly i'm too overjoyed we've won the match. Sure if i was a Man Utd fan last night, i'd be celebrating the win and leave the criticism of Moyes to another day. I do feel the stick Pardew gets a lot of the time is way overboard then not enough praise when the performances are spot on. I go on the defensive way more than i should on here for him though but it’s mainly because I feel the harshest criticism on here is unjust. We make out like he’s the world's worst manager and he should die, and that’s not even an exaggeration End of the day he's a bang average manager who we have in charge, can't get away from that. He's going to make mistakes, even the same ones over and over, he's going to look more to the negative side of football, but he's capable of getting results and springing around some good performances. I'll continue backing him until the sound bytes arrive that a top manager could be on his way. Just then, i might jump on the other side of the fence and provide more critical analysis of our own performances
  4. i can't help myself, why don't you apply this level of analysis and critical thinking to our performances under pardew? I've said a million times, i just think Pardew is a poor version of Moyes. I hate how we can play some lovely football in the first half then come out second and look like a Sunday league side. Don't understand how mangers like Pardew and Moyes manage to change it so much. In an ideal world i wouldn't want a Moyes/Pardew at my football club, just like if i was one of the huge clubs i wouldn't want Jose. The football they provide is irrelevant to them and results are all that matter. It was sick watching Chelsea not even try and score a 3rd goal against one of the worst CL performances i've ever seen from Galatasary on Tues night, that could have been 4/5/6 if they wanted it. Instead Jose was more than happy with his 2.
  5. What has he been saying? I seen Sherwood saying he's had emails off Benfica fans apologising for their manager's taunts HA GAY!
  6. For me Moyes could have easily cost them again last night. Soon as they got the goal to put them ahead in the tie, it was backs against the wall and 10 men behind the ball. Credit to Ferdinand/Jones they remained strong and the back and De Gea was in fine form but the attitude the majority of the second half was stinking. Rooney was just running all over the place in his own half, think he actually forgot his position, unless it was a defensive free role. Don't want to take the shine off their performance too much, it was a decent showing considering the pressures they were under but it was no way a vintage performance or a telling sign they've turned a corner. On another night, with that type of performance, they could have easily went out. De Gea's double save at 1-0 saved them the tie imo.
  7. Dortmund would beat them over 2 legs I reckon. f***ing Sunderland beat them over 2 legs. Classic
  8. Treatment of Kagawa from Fergie and now Moyes has been horrific, like. He shouldn't still be at that club, ripping his career apart. Worse than the Ben Arfa situation here.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

If they promised to play Hatem for all home 19 games, i'd happily pay double for my season ticket

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm guessing both of those have a better goals and assists to game ratio than HBA? Stats

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Every time HBA is fit, people pipe up with the "have a feeling he will be magic this weekend/hope he pisses all ower them/he'll give Pardew no option but to play him" stuff, then maybes 1 time out of 10 he has a canny game. Ergh, HBA hater.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Something dodgy about this latest absence. Hope we see him soon. Been in full training all along according to people on here. Just not being picked.
  13. It's hard for a club to match the likes of City/Chelsea though. Their spending power blows all the ambition the other clubs have out the water. You've got to accept you can't compete with them off the pitch then do your utmost to beat them on it. Your owner is always going to be the most powerful tool at your club and Chelsea/City have the best around. Teams can only try and keep plugging away, spending what they can afford and hopefully capitalize on any mistakes the other clubs make on the pitch.
  14. Sounds like you don't rate Liverpool at all no not at all, i love watching them play and rodgers is doing a great job with them - i would just argue if you step back they're punching above their weight at the moment and chelsea/citeh really should push on after this season and start to dominate once they spend shitloads more money Player for player, i don't think there's much between them and Arsenal By spending over 200 million in recent years i think they've arguably bridged the gap fairly well. I wouldn't have agreed with this prior to the kick off to the season but the way some Liverpool players have really stepped up their game and improved has been incredible. When Rodgers was announced many didn't think it was a good appointment. The board have certainly justified their choice of him over Martinez imo.
  15. Sounds like you don't rate Liverpool at all
  16. Yeah their owner has been excellent. Thought Liverpool fans were being very harsh on him, along with Rodgers, for not spending in Jan considering the amount he's already put into them. Should count themselves lucky.
  17. People just forget he's spent canny bit of money on shite that you hardly see play
  18. Rodgers has spent something like 100 million in two seasons Then they spent well over a 100 million couple of seasons prior to that They've did a lot more than just change a couple of managers!
  19. Scrap that, fair play to the FA
  20. That's what happens when their number 1 goalkeeper drops them in it. Bunch of clowns the FA. Don't get me wrong, i'm happy the ban has been reduced from our perspective but the FA really need to get a grip on things. Often they hand out these bans then reduce them, so needless. Hand out the ban and stick with it, if it's a dodgy and needless appeal, increase the ban for wasting time.

    Sunderland

That thread is genius, like. Some corking responses in there.
  22. They wanted it more so they deserved their win. If we can't beat Fulham over 90 mins then it seems a bit pointless begrudging them the win. Not sure they wanted it more either. Obviously they got it, so fair play. If that's their die hard attitude to want 3 points, they may as well start preparing for the championship now. They'll not win many games with that attitude let alone performance.
  23. Without a doubt, shocking. I'm not moaning about the result, we got beat, fair enough. Wouldn't go as far to say they deserved the win though but wouldn't kick up a fuss that we were worthy of a point. Was such a nothing game which could have easily tipped either way.
  24. Well you've changed your tune slightly 'side who've had more managers this season than we've had good performances' .......if good performances now suddenly mean games that go down in history? C'mon man Well all opinions, if you think Fulham were full value and deserved the win, fair enough. I thought they were f***ing shocking for a side who are supposedly battling for their lives. If they play like that the rest of the season they will go down, that wasn't a performance worthy of a deserved win imo.
