  1. Would loved for us to have signed Bony.
  2. Been impressive here Swansea. Controlling this game now.
  3. Cole, Lampard, Milner, Welbeck. Who else? Barkley Cleverley Smalling are in and out and not first choice.
  4. Beyond me how anybody can think that is a good squad with the WC just a few months away. Shameful.
  5. 4 keepers? Is that how bad our outfield players are? Just shove an extra goalkeeper in there which people won't pick up on and save us the hassle of calling Ashley Young up
  6. Dat England squad :anguish: :anguish:
  7. I don't think there's too many on here that don't like him. Think he's one of our few players who is generally well received by fans. Plain to see the potential he has, only been in the PL a year and hopefully he continue to develop with us.

    Papiss Cissé

I wouldn't say it's harsh. Putting him in bad light in the social media and could be portrayed in different ways such as him taking out a loan. Silly cow.
  9. Villa, Cardiff, Man Utd, Palace and West Ham i thought we did play some excellent stuff. I can't really fault our performances away from home. apart from when we lose to sunderland Man City, Sunderland and Swansea were very poor. You could do that with any side in the league though and pick a couple of away performances where they haven't been up to standard and dropped points. Not like we are going to be any different but on the whole our away record is nothing to moan and cry about. Yet here we are slagging ourselves off again.
  10. Villa, Cardiff, Man Utd, Palace and West Ham i thought we did play some excellent stuff. I can't really fault our performances away from home. We make the second half of matches hard work for ourselves but we haven't lost any points yet away from home because of that. If we've took the lead, we've went on to win.
  11. We've played by far the better football away from home imo. That's like saying the guy that raped me last night wasn't as rough as the guy that raped me last week. Why are we so hard on ourselves? Away from home we've played some excellent football at times? We praise it in the match thread then i'm sure we just forget it about soon as the games over because of the second half usually goes way down hill. Sure i seen comments in the West Ham saying it's the best we've played in years in that first half? We always seem to just put ourselves down. We've got a good away record yet being labelled as to turning up with 'two banks of four'.

  13. I cant remember the last game we were involved In that anybody would call a ''good game'' Cant wait to watch the two banks of four defending against Hull while hoping Remy will come up with something by himself What a load of s***, when was the last time we went away to a side like this and just defended with two banks of four? We've generally came out strong and played good football. Second half then has usually been the opposite in which we do then defend and look a million miles from the side we seen in the first half. To say we just get two banks of four is ludicrous when we've never done that to date against a side of Hull's calibre. We should have beaten Norwich but for poor finishing but we generally played well. We tore West Ham team to shreds who have now won 4 on the bounce. We succumbed to late West Brom goal after Debuchy was sent off and before that we trounced Palace. So there’s our last 4 away games against this sort of opposition and there’s been some really good football mixed in there along with some dross but never came out with two banks of four from the start.
  14. Difficult matchup to call, fancy it to be a good game but slight feeling they might just nick it.

  16. All I know is I haven't said anywhere close to the fact Pardew will win us a trophy. Feel for Spud if he's actually going to trawl through my 'boring' posts rather than admit it was a fragment of his imagination. Yes, some intent to win one would be nice. I don't think he's deliberately throwing away cup matches, but knowing it's not on your end of season review must be comforting knowing your job doesn't depend on it. As Bluestar mentioned I probably have put the scenario out there questioning if people would change their mind if he won a cup. Fwiw I don't think it should change minds, they would still win the cup playing his cautious football which they aren't fond of. If Sam Allardyce won a cup here or if Souness won a cup here, it wouldn't make me like them anymore than I do now and I'd still think they were cunts regardless of a cup win. The list is endless of bang average managers that have made finals of cups and even won it. End of the day it's only 6 matches and if you have a decent enough squad and a bit if luck with the draw, you could just find yourself in one even if your club is in turmoil. It hasn't happened for us yet since Bobby but you just never know when one might spring upon you.
  17. I actually want you to trawl through, this is absolute nonsense of the highest order. Get trawling please Such bullshit
  18. Exactly right, and till Ashley goes i have no faith in our long term progress. A few months ago you were prattling on about how we were going to win a trophy. When? Saying what? Fairly sure this is bollocks, like. Yet even saying this, any team with a half decent side and a bit of luck can win a trophy. They can just come completely out the blue but i've never banged on how we'll deffo win one?

  20. Liverpool owners have ambition. Ours don't, it really is that simple. Rodgers has still be given a nice amount of money to spend as well, along with getting Suarez tied down. That shows the level of ambition Liverpool owners have, they refused to sell Suarez when he was crying for a move and going on strike, us however shook hands with Cabaye and agreed we would sell him. Get any manager you like but they'll still be restricted by the boardroom regardless of how they do on the pitch. Moyes will be backed up by his board to spend money, Sherwood will be, Rodgers will be. How is Pardew or any other manager we hire supposed to get in and compete if they aren’t backed by their owner to achieve it. This is why Wenger has done remarkably well in even staying in the top 4, let alone trying to win the league. I know fans are kicking off with him for only getting top 4 but it’s the best he can do with funds available compared what managers around him are being given.
  21. Maybe i'm just being pessimistic but i can't see us replicating our 5th placed season under Ashley ever again. Think we done extremely well that season to get the team getting such good results whilst Liverpool were poor and Chelsea had eyes elsewhere. Think the fact we didn't take advantage of that success instantly showed our lack of desire to actually be there. I'm not discrediting the players we have or our manager for that, they achieved that then were firmly let down at boardroom level. They again got themselves in a position to challenge coming up to the latest transfer window and were again badly let down once again. I think we'll spend money to relatively keep us standing still as we don't want the fear of another relegation battle. Anyways this is going off track...Man Utd are crap.........
