  1. It's amazing what a player can do when he has a bit of faith from his new manager. The same probably with the majority of our own players. Be prepared for Adebayor to disappear again fairly shortly mind. So i keep hearing, people said once the transfer window closes he would go off the boil. Yet here he was last night in awful conditions tearing us a new one, looking full of energy, enthusiasm and bundles of class. You also missed confidence. something he is getting through having a manager who shows faith in him. I never miss confidence, i've always maintained that's one of the biggest things in football. Adebayor just needs to feel wanted and loved by fans/manager and Sherwood has given him a chance which AVB never gave him and he's repaying the faith and got Spurs back on track almost on his own.
  2. What was the score at this point? 1-0 possibly, was fairly early on anyways.
  3. Yeah the players are f***ing c***s. I just can't believe what the players are doing to the club I love. The programme seller is a bit of a w***** too.As is the c*** who warms the pies. f***ing disgrace. Krul got a hatrick of assists, that alone was a performance worthy of being dropped and give him a kick up the arse. Don't care if it's Tim Krul or Mike Hooper, a performance of that standard is not acceptable. Every goalkeeper knows you push efforts out of play or wide and away from your goal, basic goalkeeping. Krul however just decided to parry everything back into the danger zone every time. Lloris on the other hand pushed all his well saved efforts either out of play or away for a throw in. He saved all the initial shots though, where were the defenders sweeping up in front of him? He had absolutely no protection last night, it was a joke. No protection? A cross came in which he could have left and Sammy would have cleared or ushered it out for a throw....Adebayor shoots from 20 yards and he pushes it to the feet of Paulinho and not out wide, then Walker shoots insdie the box and he parrys the ball up back into the air which landed nicely for Ade when he should have pushed it over his bar. In comparison to Lloris when Gouff shot from distance, he parried the ball wide of any danger when Cisse was anticipating it, then tips Debuchy's header over the bar and not back into the box then he saved from Cisse with his legs and knocked it wide of any Newcastle players. Just simple standard keeping. Krul was a mess. Yes Taylor/Williamson were shocking and didn't close people down and get enough tackles/blocks in but i'm not excusing Krul for schoolboy keeping.

  6. Also going to have to have a mention for Adebayor. Maybe those on here who had a pop at him and said he wouldn’t get a game for us will have changed their mind on him after realising just how good this bloke is. He was sensational last night. His touch, his flicks, his movement, his energy, his hold up play…all this class on a freezing cold Wednesday night away from home and people doubt his mentality. He’s a world class striker and Spurs are very lucky to have such a talent spearheading their attack. In this kind of form, not many defenders can cope with him as he has all the attributes you need for a top CF.
  7. That Spurs side was nothing special and they've hammered us without being all that great. We were an absolute shambles. The two CB's and the two CM's should hang their head in shame. Krul shouldn't escaped from criticism either, absolutely pathetic goalkeeping. Thought Cisse/De Jong/Sammy/Debuchy worked hard and looked like the only ones who could be bothered. Side Pardew selected i thought was good, i would have had Ben Arfa for Gouff and Mym for Taylor but overall wasn't too disappointed. Taylor was once again a fucking mess and Gouffran looked a million miles off the pace of the game. Unless Santon was injured, i'm sick and tired of that pointless LB change, proper waste. I've yet to see Dummett/Haidara make any sort of impact on a game. If he's not happy with Santon don't fucking pick him to start with. Then Ben Arfa/Marv subs were the right calls but game was done and dusted by the team they arrived really even if there was still 20 plus minutes on the clock. Going to also have to have another dig at our fans because I just don’t understand their logic. We tell ourselves we don't want long balls, we want to play it from the back and keep the ball...yet when Williamson Taylor Anita were passing it amongst themselves but being well pressured, crowd were screaming at them just to kick it long? I mean they are trying to pass it out and keep the ball but soon as they are closed down the crowd panic and scream, in turn the players then panic and the ball is rushed back to Krul for the inevitable long ball. We are never going to be able to pass the ball from defence if the players aren't allowed just to play their own game without the whole crowd going mental as soon as they are pressurized.
  8. I'd make a massive amount of changes for this just revamp things and give players a kick up the arse. I'd be drop our whole back 5 bar Debuchy for Villa.

    Sammy Ameobi

Like i just said in the Cisse thread, he was working hard, trying to make something happen but unfortunately he was the only one in the midfield actually doing something. The lack of support he had when beating a man was criminal. Last night he probably realised himself why Ben Arfa just goes on solo runs because there's zilch movement around you. It's amazing when our player has the ball and you look around and see 3/4 bodies just standing there, not even attempting to offer himself.

    Papiss Cissé

Thought he was one of the positives last night. Seemed to look much better, still very short of confidence but his movement was class, he was working hard, he was looking to bring others into play. Was actually let down by his finishing but when you're not playing week in week out you can't be too harsh. Hope to see De Jong and Cisse get a run together. If we sort our midfield out, get a solid defence back and we'll be fine.
  11. Windy it could disrupt our slick passing game like. We've got some experience in the long ball method, beat Man Utd on a cold night with these tactics. Spurs will feel the force of it tonight.
  12. As much as i'd love a PP, we best just start taking Willow's advice.
  13. Doubt there's been anywhere near enough rain for this to be called off. Not often PL games are pp'd these days. And when they are it's usually for safety outside the ground and i'm not sure big puddles will cut it.
  14. These things were being said before Chelsea, was shit weather then too. We didn't have the injuries we had then but we aren't playing a team as strong as Chelsea.
  15. It actually would have been eye opener for not only Taylor but also the club who probably thought he was one of the crowd faves. They clearly picked a player they thought could carry a Q+A, they were very wrong, so wrong.
  16. Hope he never fucking scores then

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Vision and Intelligence, that's the seperation. There's a huge gulf in class between Hazard/HBA on them accounts though. I do think Ben Arfa has some sort of mental problem. Always thought him to have split personality disorder, must be a reason to why he is a loner

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Ben Arfa can strike a ball just as well imo. We've seen it for ourselves, showed us that on his full debut.
  19. Impossible, Pardew told us not one player has got worse under him, they have all improved. You just can't help yourself, Bimpy
  20. What about the pass to Sissoko? Majestic!
  21. Am I Santon sympathiser or enabler? It's a struggle to defend anyone associated with the club these days. Bimpy on a rampage.
  22. I thought he did alright, if it was a new signing and not Santon who people are starting deliver a bit of abuse to for his performances this season, i don't think they would be saying too much about the performance. Was his first game there for us there against the strongest home side in the league and i thought he did a decent job.
  23. Would have loved it if Pardew popped that line in as well
