  1. Cajun tearing into Mike almost made deadline day a happy one. Almost.
  2. Basically how I feel, when he came on game before 3-0 and got that last minute equaliser, it was epic scenes and that was for a draw. Love it if he grabbed the winner.
  3. That is some of the biggest s**** I've ever read. Least he could move 5 yards then and score a few a season. He's had some good games this season as well just not scoring. Horrible the hatred Shola gets, least he knows what this game means and has a good record to show for it. Be the same fickle people moaning when he came on last season then went mental when he saved us.
  4. Christ. Only Jackie Milburn has scored more goals than Shola in Newcastle's history against Sunderland. He's no worse now than what he was in the 5-1 and we were moaning about him then.
  5. Coming from the one who wants Newcastle to lose tomorrow, righto
  6. They did but couldn't help but feel had Cisse's goal had stood, they would have crumbled. Can't take anything away from their strikes though, they've scored some excellent goals in the last two tbf to them.
  7. Fucking ban worthy that shite. God awful. Fuck off Jimmy! Can't even class that as an opinion, man!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Not in the training pictures as far as I can see he's in Milan of course He'll just be in the canteen, chill.
  9. Absolutely agree. Don't agree with Brett on much but this is correct. Wish i had a quid for everytime someone said that... i'd be at least 9 quid richer 'Don't agree with Brett'? You'd be able to buy us a new midfielder mate.
  10. You would be. The bookies have us 10/11 favourites and we are 11th in top football bets for the weekend with Will Hill. So i think it's fair to say it's a surprise the majority vote on here is going to a Sunderland win. Our top 3 goalscorers this season won't be playing tomorrow and Shola will most likely start. Pardon some of us for being more realistic about things than the bookies. Only said i was surprised, i might have went for a loss myself

  13. Didn't we come out early last time and say we wouldn't be signing anyone. I preferred that to pretendy bids and fashion helicopters.
  14. 44 percent for the loss, very surprised at that mind.
  15. I agree with all this. Bar the being poached part, if they reached a certain standard, they will still nick off even if we were really pushing for top 4. If Spurs/Arsenal struggle to keep their best when in that position, i doubt we would fair much better.
  16. Make it sound drastic by saying 18 months. Be two transfer windows where we haven't signed anyone permanently. He tried to get Remy for 10 million if he wasn’t stole by QPR, people forget that as well last winter. I can't even think of a reason for Ashley to pay extra money this window, i couldn't tell him truthfully that if we signed Grenier for 16 million or whatever that it would push us into Europe. When he could wait till the summer and get a Grenier/Cabella for 12 million. In Ashley’s mind there’s probably no need for him to pay extra couple of million for a player this window. Ashley is always going to take these shitty gambles but what doesn't sound much to us like 1/2 million extra for a transfer, is still a lot to him. Wish it would be otherwise where he was more lenient with his money, but he's not. He wants the right deal at the right price and that's why we struggle to negotiate with other clubs. He'll still continue to get his bargains however, don't believe for a second it's dried up.
  17. Aye, this is it. Until Ashley fucks off we aren't going much higher, like. Hovering around 6th-10th is best it's going to get under this kernt.
  18. Our players get linked away every window, it's because we have a good team. Like it or not but Ashley has built a good team here, then once they hit a standard worthy of champions league football, we say they are too good for us and will leave. The fact we have a good handful of these players whilst other clubs maybe have one or two if they are lucky, shows how good our team really is. Ashley built the team? I thought the fat f***er is useless...but hats off for his scouting skills then Well i'd say Roman built Chelsea, the Arabs built Man City...i wouldn't look into their chief scout and heap the praise. Ashley is the one who has put the money in for the majority of players we have now and is paying their wages. He's done excellent for the money he has spent to assemble such a team. There's just still many other factors to why he's still hated here and rightly so imo. Ashley hasn't put the money in, selling players has paid for the squad we have now, not money from his pocket and he doesn't pay their wages you f***ing mentalist, the Sky money does. And that's not to mention the massive transfer surplus we have built up since he's been here. Are you actually for real, give your f***ing head a shake. I'm not saying it's coming out of his piggy bank, but it's still technically his money if it comes from a player sale or TV rights. He doesn't have to spend 10 million on Cisse, he doesn't have to spend 8 million on Mbiwa. It's not like he's forced to spend money on transfers, he can keep the Cabaye money forever if he likes. He doesn't need to replace him. For now we are comfortable top 10 club with or without Cabaye and he's happy with that. However when he has spent money, he's spent it wisely, yes a few transfers have been a waste but every club makes poor decisions from time to time but you can't argue with what he's bought on the budget he's used and if you look at other clubs around us, we've been far wiser than them. We were a promoted team only in 2010, and now we are wanting to push into the top 6, at least we have got ourselves back in a position to contend and progressed the standard of players at the club dramatically.

  21. Aye, Man City came calling offering big wages and he was basically coming to the end of his career. If the Given situation says anything, it tells Krul it's not always greener on the other side. I'm sure Given regrets how things have turned out for him after leaving us behind but it's worked out best for us too for the development of Krul.
  22. My original point is we aren't wasting away Tim Krul's career, we've been brilliant to him. I also don't expect any transfer requests from him anytime soon either as i think he loves it here but were a top club come calling i think he will leave as you would expect him too. Surprised people think Krul is wasting away and will be looking for a new club. Don't think he's shown anything in the slightest to suggest that and it's just another case of look how good he is, he can do better than us, papers link him with another club so he will be leaving in the next window.
  23. Each to their own. Sunderland were the confident ones when we beat them 5-1, it was us with all the negativity, like this talk.
