When you're up against players like MKSC, you're always going to have to try and just hang there and take your chance when it arrives. We managed that, and when you have match winners like Taylor amongst your ranks, you're always going to be a threat on the counter.

Cabaye for Marveux would have been my change, would have taken off Gouffran for Ben Arfa before that though.
-
It wasn't a negative change, but it was a desperate one.
-
Nowhere near the board, basically Some were, think i got 39 on one visit I don't think there was a better Darts coach than me on the night though, i was like 'Smithy'. I'm sure Taylor would accept the impact i had on his game. As underdogs, we never stopped believing!
-
He mentions Sammy deserving just as much chance as Marv does, and i agree. However there's simply no need for Obertan to be getting on ahead of both. Against Man City, i thought the first two subs should have been Ben Arfa/Gouffran Cabaye/Marv...would have still been able to keep hold of our formation but we could have added a couple more creative match winners to the side to unlock City. A midfielder for a striker wasn't negative but it seemed more of a desperate change for a goal than a clever one. Marv is on a decent wage here and with his injury record and lack of first team opportunities, i think it's clear he won't be around much longer and it's a bit of a shame as i really believe he's more than good enough to have impact in our current squad if used correctly.

Only hughton has scored a goal so he's the best

Can't remember the last time we beat Fat Head. Think it's Newcastle's record in general being shit against him let alone just Pardew.

I used to love the 'Is the East Stand still alive' chant when standing in Level 7 before Ashley re-shuffled the seasting areas. Only time chants are started in East stand is in reserve matches

,,,apart from twice - and look what happened then....

Poch could be leaving too if he sticks to his word, he promised he would leave if NC left didnt he? Stability
-
If we offered that up front yes, a loan/future fee though probably not as he will have done well for us in the next 5 months to buy him in that case. They would no doubt want to get more in that scenario if that makes sense? Aye, without a doubt. Doesn't help we probably already feel we are being priced out of a move for Remy just because he had a good couple of month and now being touted up to 15 million by their club.
-
Who in this squad would you give a better send off too then Ronaldo...you don't rate our current captain and vice captain who have been good servants as well. Struggling to see who amongst this bunch you want given a good send off and not being a piss take. Do Cabaye and Ben Arfa deserve the best send offs because they've got the most talent? That how it works?
-
How much would you pay for De Jong? No PL experience and out of form and favour with his current club? They paid around 12 million for him, I think 7 million is a fair bid.
-
They could try but then De Jong then has to accept his career is over then at the age of 23 and simply topping up his retirement fund Think he probably still has more ambition for himself tbh
-
It's funny you should say that in this thread when the reports are saying we want £10m+ for Cisse, it works both ways. Aye, the teams he has been linked with are clueless though. Probably daft enough to pay that fee I don't think 7 million is a bad starting bid for De Jong or anything criminal. He's failed to prove his value at the club and now struggling to get in the side and they want rid. Have to expect to take a loss?
-
So he flops then they expect their money back for him? Our bid is perfectly reasonable for starting off.

It was a poor choice of sub, nothing to go overboard about. Brought on a striker for a midfielder, wasn't a negative change. We just lost our way slightly without Anita picking up the second balls and keeping possession. Gouffran for Ben Arfa should have been our first change to see if that brought us more creativity before changing system when the system was still working fine. He got it wrong but don't think he cost us the game or our chances, nothing to suggest anything other than a bit of magic was going to break City. Hart was in top form and was going to take something special to beat him...like Tiote's goal.
-
It's all good, Ron. Taylor is back in the side now, everything's fine on your end. I'll now leave you alone for being completely wrong on Tiote. Have a nice day.

Ronaldo: 'I don't rate them types of players, get over it'... Lotus: 'Did you rate Makelele?'... Ronaldo: 'Yeah'

I upped them levels by crying but laughing at the same time watching him strip down to his boxers when saying goodbye. A memory I'll never forget. Robert always had a bit of a love/hate relationship amongst fans however. Similar to HBA now. I for one have never loved a footballer more than I did Robert. Jonas on the other hand still deserves all the warm farewell messages he's been receiving as he no doubt loves the club and has been nothing but a great servant here who always gave his best whilst being highly respected and loved within the club.

Fucking hell, the passion, what on earth have they put in his mug

Yeah and it was the wingmen who ended up all having to pick their jaws up off the floor once said bird had arrived. ST has proper fluked one there, no offence ST And aye, Hos was aaaaaful, Rich couldn't book a taxi quick enough

I wouldn't have complained had it been a red, after seeing the replay but i don't think it's bad enough to make a big fuss about it and say it's definitley a red. Could have went either way really. He got the yellow and that should have been the end of the matter but because the injury sustained was serious, it's been made into something it isn't.
