Blocking certain elements? Be more specific. Flying out late, who cares? He was doing it because he believed it was best. It wasn’t some ego trip
-
Any word on how long Jota will be out for? The double leg break from Dubs could have been a career ender. We were lucky it was just a pen and not a red card on top
-
Never expected Nani to be world class I have to say. Always loved watching him fuck up even though he still had a very good career
-
Mourinho is as bad a fit as they come. Can’t think of a worse manager for us really, both in terms of the style of play, sustainability and his work with tired players. He’s still a very good manager if you throw money at him and focus on the cup competitions but that’s it
-
I’m not sure that I thought he’d be world class but I thought Aubameyang would have a much better career
-
Yeah, Bojan might be the king of this thread
-
Bassong was great, I loved him. Obviously nowhere near world class but it was great to have someone so solid in defence for once
-
It’s the same level of contact as the Jota one. Neither should be remotely close to being given as pens
-
It doesn’t make sense unless I’m being thick

Have fans actually turned in certain sections following last night’s game? There are some cretins and imbeciles on Twitter and a couple on here but they were shouting loudly since Luton. I don’t really pay much attention on Twitter but has it changed at all?
-
Lost the support of the players? Pretty sad the lens some people view us through. What possible scrap of evidence could be used to go towards that theory? Are we pressing less than last season? Yes. Is there a good reason for it? The players have largely been fucked. Is there another possible conclusion? Yes, the players hate Howe very very much and they’re planning to poison him

Didn’t think Longstaff’s was a pen. Was there any major contact other than a bit of upper body when he was running through? It’s one of the weaknesses of his game that isn’t going to improve at this stage. He doesn’t have the technique to control aerial balls, bring them down cleanly and then find a yard of space which was required yesterday. It wasn’t an easy chance at all but he could have tried ten times and I wouldn’t have been confident it would have worked once
-
This is out of order. Yorkie’s got a different take to you, puts it out there. Whatever, you have different opinions. He tries to shut it down with an innocuous post basically saying “let’s just accept we don’t agree” and you respond with that
-
His pace was never an issue, he’s managed to defend against all sorts of tricky pacy wingers for us, all last season. However, he’s getting turned inside out a lot this season, can’t see how it’s sustainable unless it’s to do with him not being fully recovered
-
We have to get the ball to him more in those situations where he’s trying to run in behind because he’ll clean up
-
Aye, enough to take several further steps before going down. Get them in the fucking sea
-
Still completely back him and that’s not going to change anytime soon. We were so easy to play through and so poor on the ball between defence and midfield though. I’m desperate to see an improvement in both of these areas. We absolutely have to stop being passed through with ease and it would be great to see us string together some passing to build our confidence back up. Everyone’s heads just drop when we keep losing the ball
-
Not sure if it’s a fair comment as I’m sure I’ve seen him play well on the right for Everton but he was so much better for us on the left
-
There’s a major issue happening when teams press us. We cannot move the ball round cleanly, we rarely have a man free. Obviously, Liverpool are a very good team but the amount of times this season we’ve struggled to move the ball between players when under pressure has been extremely poor. We either get tackled off the ball or we just play a hopeless pass forwards and invite pressure. That’s my main concern about how we’re playing. Think it’s been magnified by the fact we’ve played so many tough games because of Europe but we look scared with the ball too often
-
It’s so damaging for the game. i’m sure everyone other than Liverpool fans has looked at that penalty decision as a horrific error. No one who’s played football at any level thinks that you should get a pen for making absolutely minimal contact with your back leg, literally mm’s of contact at that and then taking a further four steps before going down. It’s unwatchable nonsense. There’s so much wrong with penalty officiating. The handball rule is awful. The slightest-contact-is-a-penalty is awful. Im not that pissed off with regards to this game, we were awful. However, the game just keeps going in the wrong direction with officiating. How is it getting worse for these decisions?
-
This has been a pretty awful night all things considered. We’ve looked terrible in possession which is the one thing I was holding out hope for as that’s what’ll turn our form around
-
Shameful VAR decision. In what world is that a penalty? Probably the worst VAR decision for a contact between keeper and player I’ve ever seen
-
Drury is such a wet blanket

Fantastic drawing of the foul Miggy
