Good goal from Chelsea in fairness
-
Good honest quotes, have complete faith he’ll return to his best but he probably needs his workload managing from now on. He can’t be played endlessly and I also think it’s better for the team if he doesn’t take every set piece when he’s on the pitch
-
Selling any of those three would massively weaken us. Id say those three are unsellable unless they’re the ones pushing for a move

It’s extremely odd and sad behaviour. Being a good troll requires a lot of skill and it’s always reliant on comedy being part of the act

“Here man, I saw you didn’t smash that kid’s head in the other day when he spilt his drink on you, you woke maggot” ”Went to the match the other day and in the bar they had some coasters that said, Enjoy the festive season, world’s gone woke” Never found anyone who gets as easily offended as the people who use the word “woke” all the time. Fascinating use of ❄️ reverse psychology on themselves
-
People afraid to boo? Guaranteed that guy thinks we’ve all gone too soft, should have national service, should allow parents to hit their kids, the world’s gone woke. What the fuck is the point in booing a bunch of players and manager who love the club and have produced amazingly for two years. Honestly, if people can’t support their club when things aren’t going well then what’s the point of being a fan. I’m not saying don’t criticise the players or manager, but do it constructively like Sanjay on Twitter. Actually build an argument rather than just saying we should be booing them off the pitch or calling for Howe’s head. Its the worst thing about football aside from the greed in the game, idiot fans
-
We’ve had countless managers who’ve gone on poor runs and you know it’s not going to get better, partly because the quality of their football has always been poor or because they have no willingness to improve themselves. Howe is the polar opposite of this, he’s obsessed with improving and being the best he can be. He’s also shown he can get us playing fantastic football. Looking forward to him turning this around, I hope we see the players really dig in for him despite their confidence being low

He was always a good lad. Was he fully fit when playing for us? Struggle to reconcile the version we saw yesterday with the version that played all of our matches. His confidence was through the roof yesterday
-
Everyone knew he was slow, it was a running joke that people referenced on here for months. Most of the time his pace isn’t an issue but it depends on having good options to pass to rather than running in blind alleys. He did an incredible pass yesterday where he flicked it over someone in midfield then volleyed it across to our left side. His technique more than makes up for his speed

Not as good as Tiote or Batty? It’s been an odd day on N-O
-
I just find the phrase “the jury’s out” defensively for a 17 year old who’s been amazing for us and clearly has years of learning to go fairly funny. Of course the jury’s out on some aspects of his game. It’s absurd that most areas of his game are so developed

Inconceivable (performance today)

Always find commentary on pens hilarious. Was a terrible pen, and then Clive or whoever it was, was like “he’s stroked it in with aplomb” or similar nonsense. When in fact, he gave the keeper every chance to save it

possibly the funniest post today, I’ll give you that

I’ve already made a bunch of comments. The idea that you’ll never see him as a top manager again made me laugh. He’s been forced in the last month to play almost exclusively the same lineup until the last couple of games when he has been able to make slight alterations. I agree that things look very poor at the moment, the team is very disjointed and we’re leaking goals. What that says about Howe is very little, I’d be worried if we’d been this poor with our best line up or even if it was half of our best line up. However, Miggy is fucked, Gordon is fucked, Isak has been playing with an injury until he looked like himself today. Burn has just come back from an injury. Joelinton’s been in and out of the team with injuries. No one knows exactly what’s going on with Trippier but whatever it is, he’s been fucked mentally. Longstaff always plays poorly for a run of games after coming back from an injury. These are all reasons why we look so incoherent and shite. Howe’s job is to come up with a plan B but coming up with different tactics when players are half match fit or exhausted isn’t easy
-
Have people’s brains melted? Going on about how he’s a dead man walking and he’ll definitely have to go if we lose to Sunderland. It’s a complete and utter joke and says a huge amount about how reactionary our fans are (and many fans are). This is the first period of pressure and bad spell that Howe’s had here. Pathetic that people are desperate to see him gone after what he’s achieved here and the pride he’s reinstalled in the club. Really pity anyone who wants him gone as they clearly haven’t enjoyed any of the time he’s been here if they’re that desperate to see him go

This is embarrassing stuff

One thing I’d like to see more of is us breaking at pace. Too often we get stuck in moving the ball back across our midfield from side to side. That would be fine if we were a passing side that kills the opposition that way but that’s not us with this squad of players
-
Show some respect like, most of the players have played very well for two years or the period they’ve been here since Howe came in. Yes, it was very poor today and it’s been poor for several games but players don’t turn to shit in the space of 4-6 weeks. Also, they’ve mostly been run into the ground or are recovering from injury
-
Genuinely thought it was going to the weirdest own goal id ever seen but he’d just managed to knock it wide of the post. Could have easily ricocheted off the man and gone in off a deflection rather than rebounding out though. Has anyone seen a clearance like that before? I’ve seen people do it past the goal when there’s an attacker looming but never ever towards the goal itself
-
Also, our crossing into the box is so poor generally. Our best way to create goals is by getting in behind the opposing team and then cutting the ball back to a player running onto it. We’re just very laboured in our build up play and are making lazy crosses or passes when in good positions. Miley played the best pass of the day across to Gordon and he took a second too long to take the shot. Was just such a flat performance. We didn’t look up for it which is concerning
-
I’d say it’s as bad as the score line suggests, and not worse than that. However, the scoreline against Forest at home on Boxing Day when they have every right to be less up for it than us was awful. We were flat for most of the game even though we were the stronger side in the first half. The second half was utterly abysmal and the worst half we’ve had at home since Howe came in
-
Got made to look very poor today. Fair play to start him if Tino was carrying a knock but it doesn’t quite add up with Tino coming on early
