Haven’t watched Draxler closely for a long time. Anyone give an update of where his game’s been at for the last few years? Germans generally translate well to the premier league
-
£25m for Barnes? Yeah, I’m sure NUFC value him at £25m, absolute joke journalism
-
Leffe’s been out of the game too long
-
Needed that hit and sweet sweet taste of NUFC being ready to make a bid for a player well below the selling club’s valuation
-
Going to hold off on predictions until the beginning of August
-
He was coming into his last year of his contract though
-
Love a player who is genuinely two-footed, I think it would be tough to get them down from £50m, it’s a fair valuation

Cascarino is immense

Probably the most one-sided 0-0 I’ve watched, at least that I can remember

France all over the Dutch, Diani is class

Commentator talking about disharmony in the Netherlands camp. Why do the Netherlands so often have issues in the camp, clearly in both women’s and men’s football?

One minute in and this match has already been more entertaining than last night’s match

Almiron, Willock, Wilson all looking sharp. Was that keeper for Anderson’s header from the youth team? If not, feel a bit bad that we took Pope from them -
Fair play, he might not be lean as a cat but he’ll do

I’m also a Maxi fan and really want him to develop further here and become the best player he can be. I have to admit I’m worried about the fact that the things he messes up, weight of pass and not reading the game are not simple things for him to change. I’d say that he often messes up his weight of pass to teammates and while he can work on that in training, it’s odd that it’s as poor as it is given his age and how much football he’s played in his life. With reading the game I feel that’s much harder to change and maybe it’s linked to why his passes to teammates are often poorly weighted and not perfectly directed as he isn’t good at anticipating how others on the pitch want to receive the ball. Still, I’m happy to get behind him this season and really hope he can improve in these areas and mainly make better decisions without losing too much of his flair. One thing that does annoy me though is how he takes issue with being fouled. When we played Munich the other day he looked massively affronted after being taken out once. This happens in every single match and he just has to accept that it’s part of the game and not get wound up about it

Been a shite game of football overall tonight
-
Fair play, I hope he has a good career with them, seems a top lad. Firstly they’ll have to figure out where to play him

Not sure where to post this but I’m really excited about the upcoming season, not just because of where we might be and how far we could go this season but there are a lot of teams doing loads of business in this window. It’s going to be really interesting to see who falls away out of the big clubs and who ends up in a relegation battle, can’t really predict it that easily other than expecting the promoted sides to struggle -
That’s nonsense though isn’t it, because isn’t FFP about three-year cycles?

Lads, let’s have a collection put together for Yelevats so we can get them some new bed sheets, get it up on the N-O banner to spread the word

There’s absolutely no way Howe rates Wood or Murphy. He might like Almiron’s relentless pressing but I’m sure he doesn’t rate his output. They’re only going to pay for players they’re almost positive will significantly improve us

In fairness, not much yet but all the targets they’ve been linked with carry a big fee and although I’m sure they won’t land them all, I’m sure they’ll get some of them
