  1. It’s not completely black and white though. If he has some kind of minimum expectation that he needs to reach in the league each season I can understand why we aren’t taking risks. It’s not going to be as binary as Howe only wants PL players as we’ve signed lots of players from abroad but there will be a reason why we target such a high proportion locally and some of it may be down to Howe and some may be down to other senior management / owners
  2. Aye, I think we should have done that or Guessand. Either would put us in a far better position than where we are right now. We’re now over a barrel because everyone knows we don’t have a single striker we can play. I haven’t scouted players but the idea that our scouts won’t have identified potential players to go for in Europe is absurd. They just won’t go for them because we rigidly will only go for the absolute best talent (Ekitike and Sesko) that is out of the UK and who we couldn’t compete with even Man U on, or players who have played well in the league last season
  3. I think we should have moved a lot quicker through our list of targets. Delap and Pedro were sorted early enough (and we’d have known we were behind Chelsea if we were competent) to move on quickly. We have showed zero flexibility in the market to look at players further afield. I’m talking about the second striker here, not Ekitike / Sesko. For the second striker who have we looked at? Wissa and Strand Larsen? Delap? Pedro I think could conceivably have been the Isak replacement rather than the second striker. Other teams have brought in players outside of the PL for reasonable sums and we’ll likely see them have successful seasons That’s no way to approach a window where we knew for months that we needed to sort that position and we knew there was potential that Isak could make the window painful
  4. Obviously he has the talent but up until the summer we knew: He's amazingly talented technically and a great striker of the ball He’s not particularly strong in the air for his height, he’s average He stops running at 60 mins and is completely useless both at scoring and supporting the team. If that’s to do with injury durability it’s an issue, if it’s to do with fitness then it obviously isn’t going to get better We were working from the assumption he was a model pro. This couldnt be further from the truth. If we combine the last paragraph with the one before it then there are a lot of scenarios where it doesn’t work out. If he stays injury free he’ll continue to perform at a very high level but for only 2/3rds of a game. That will likely cause a major imbalance in Liverpool’s team if he goes there as Ekitike won’t want to only get 30 mins a game with his attitude. Could see the two of them clashing badly. If he goes abroad it probably works out better for his career I’d imagine
  5. But that’s why you think about contingencies and worst case scenarios, especially when your player intimates to you that he may want to leave. Howe has said that they had conversations about it, we don’t know the detail of those but we can be confident that it should have set us up in a position where we knew we absolutely had to replace Wilson before July
  6. I agree, he certainly is the main antagonist and a virus but ironically he’s helped the club out in one way as he’s completely taken the focus off the mismanagement of this transfer window. Sure, he’s caused a lot of damage that maybe couldnt have been mitigated but the fact we didn’t get the second striker in is criminal. The club aren’t really getting it from any angles though, wonder if that’ll change after the window closes or whether people will continue to come together because of the virus
  7. Hasn’t looked great on the striker front since the beginning of June unfortunately
  8. Chelsea . Chelsea don’t need him and he’s got an appalling attitude. He will be a disaster for them in the dressing room and we’re looking at a fast forward episode of bomb squad unfurling before our eyes. Man U are getting a steal in one sense even though he should be worth a lot more than that. He just won’t ever realise his potential as he’s a verified knacker
  9. Don’t think he has any idea how much of an error he’s made. Fairly confident that his career is going to go backwards relatively early on. He’s not a durable lad, he’s also proven himself to have the worst attitude imaginable. If he gets injuries (and he will) and doesn’t perform wherever he goes the fans will turn on him because they know already how much of a cunt he is. Has the makings of all going extremely sour for him no matter where he goes
  10. Perfection this. “There are a lot of things on fire, here’s the bill. Thanks for your continued loyalty”
  11. Aye, it screams virgin incel more than anything else but I think that tallies
  12. Let’s start preparing a deadline day bid of £120m for Tolu for next year’s transfer window
  13. Aye, fingers crossed we sell him and then he gets paralysed from the neck down and can only communicate through blinks
  14. Wrexham, Plymouth and Leyton Orient
  15. I’m here for that type of bullshit
  16. Have you watched him play? He’s very good at pressing, way better than Isak
  17. A loan makes far and away the most practical sense at the moment
  18. This lad needs to put in a monumental effort for the rest of this season, he’s got a lot of paying back to do to his teammates
  19. Absolutely zero sense to sell him at under his value to a rival who is the main reason we’re in this position. I’d sell permanently if there was an option outside the premier league for £130m but otherwise the best option is to keep and loan him out and he can reflect on how clever he is when he’s at Al-Hilal
  20. Think this is our best practical option and one that all fans would accept
  21. You’ll find him playing RuneScape right now if you log on. Level 99 firemaking and level 99 thieving, username SUDSL337. He’s absolutely smashing it on there, one to watch
