Reckon it's Klopp imo. Shame that will mean Dortmund losing their manager along with Gotze and possibly Lewandowski this summer.

Doubt it will be an ex-Man U player. None of them are ready or good enough atm.

What about Ancelotti? Just signed a new 2 year deal hasn't he? The best manager potentially available would be too get Jupp Heynckes. Proven record, used to pressure cooker environments, not an utter bellwipe. Only 3 years younger than Fergie. Think they will go long-term with a younger manager Fergie can 'mentor' while he still can.

Can't see it myself really, I'd imagine Fergie would someone like Moyes, someone he can mentor more than someone who has already won a fair bit. Same. Man U would want somebody for the long-term that has a focus on young players and the academy imo. That's something you're unlikely to get out of Mourinho.

Good shout. Plays an attractive style and is committed to developing academy players. At a good age so he can form his own legacy. Speaks English well. Loves Dortmund but he can surely be tempted by one of the biggest job in club football.

His legacy in the Premier League is cast in stone.

Comes at an interesting time where there's a fair few candidates out of contract this summer. Surely they must have a plan in hand before announcing his retirement.

Fair play to him in knowing when to retire so that there's a transition period where he can influence and leave the club in safe hands.

    Other clubs' transfers

He's injury-prone and at the end of his career. His departure will force Barca to find a proper replacement (or a midfielder-turned-defender ).

Agree. Only health issues will make him stop managing. The hip surgery at his advanced age could well be decisive in forcing him calling it a day.

Don't think so. Ashley is a businessman. He won't be so stupid as to put himself in the same situation as he did with sacking Souness, especially his philosophy is not to reward failure.

No but if Villa get beaten off Chelsea we are. actually depends on Wigan game vs Arsenal, we beat QPR and Wigan fail to beat Arsenal then we are safe no matter what happens final day We don't even have to care about the Arsenal-Wigan game. If we beat QPR and Villa get beat by Chelsea over the weekend, we are safe as those two cannot both overtake us (they meet on the last matchday). http://i.imgur.com/z5g1D27.png Chelsea in the hunt for CL spot. Win vs QPR on Sunday, we can pretend this cursed season never existed. Edit: Southampton, Norwich, Mackems will be watching Chelsea-Villa with interest as well. By the same reasoning, a Villa loss means Sunderland and Norwich need 2 points (Southampton 1 pt) in the remaining games to be guaranteed safety.

  20. 5 goals in 12 games aside, have you seen him play? The guy won't look out of place playing for Spurs.
  21. At least Mbia is looking towards his holidays. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1437892/mbia-unsure-qpr-future?cc=4716 http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1437557/stephane-mbia-denies-qpr-transfer-tweets?cc=4716
  22. I'll be wary of Townsend besides the very obvious Remy. He has been doing well at QPR and I'm sure he will want to continue impressing before returning to Spurs. Then we have Jenas with a new contract to earn and an axe to grind. These player could just turn up specifically against us. Cesar would be another but luckily it seems QPR is adopting a long-term view with Green stepping in the last couple of games. Edit: Didn't know Jenas signed for a 18-month contract. Point about him being the bogey man still stands though.
