Not a foul, Wayne.

Only waiting for Ronaldo to walk in and say it's better than what we have... Make sure they are mega bids above 10m. You get what you pay for. Cheap players are shite.

I mentioned before West Ham that it was crucial the players show up for the remaining games, get us to safety, then they can voice their displeasure over Pardew. If any player did not show heart and put the club above himself, he can buzz off at the end of the season. First half I have no complains, the players were doing their best. Then it reverted to the same boring fear-thy-opponents shit in the 2nd, with the added bonus of a smiling and clearly pleased Pardew. I don't think I can blame the players for 'not trying' in this case.

oh well Hoped for the best, ended with one of the worst permutations.
-
Don't bother. I tried with the best possible permutation regarding results/league standings before the West Ham game and we ended up with one of the worst. Just taking things as they come now, one at a time. Plenty of twists up til the last matchday.

He's so thick he'll probably get into an accident while under a driving ban, then end up posting incriminating pics on twitter.

I think it's more a case of rapidly finding out why a cheap manager is cheap tbh.
-
Southampton must really hate you guys not to even entertain a bid.

We're s*** because the players we bought are too good for our manager? Some decent points otherwise tbf but that made me chuckle. Stick it on the list of excuses, 'The players are too good'. I'd still bin him right now. I don't care what anyone says about it being too late, he threw away 2 points yesterday due to his tactical changes. Put anybody else in the dugout and I don't think that would have happened. He is actively harming our chances of staying up now. I think he means the players and Pardew do not suit each other's footballing styles/philosophy. It's like getting Pulis to manage Barca's players and Guardiola to manage Stoke's. Wrong ingredients for the recipe they have. Nothing to do with the grade or freshness of the ingredients.

Good post with an interesting perspective.

Probably more upset with the prospect of being relegated again like, just a hunch. I think everyone is Toon's Taylor, I know I couldn't stomach watching from 60-90 - it was truly abject s*** today. Back on topic with the guy in charge - this guy needs to go, I think with the exception of one or two, everyone agrees. But that shouldn't stop people, who see one or two positives in a f***ing tragic situation, from posting in this thread because Interpolic or someone else might lose his rag, again. Less than a month ago you were claiming anyone who wanted him gone couldn't "see the big picture". I can fully understand why IP's so p*ssed off, the smug condescending attitude of the people who've backed him has been excruciating all season. It's been like watching a slow motion car crash whilst standing next to a load of mugs telling you how hysterical you're being and of course that child flying through the air will be fine if you just stop being so bloody negative about his prospects. Anyone who couldn't see this coming at least six months ago simply doesn't know very much about football. Sorry like but that's the truth of the matter. Plenty like to dress it up and call it "staying positive" when what they actually mean is living in a dream world so far detached from reality that they might as well be on the f***ing moon. It's f***ing pissing me off. Still people popping up telling everyone to calm down at the stage we are at, it's unreal.

Strangely enough, I did this exact same thing and went to the same game. We're all Wednesday aren't we?! I'm more concerned about Monday and Tuesday.
-
I'm still baffled why after finally resembling a team with our play in the 1st half, we didn't keep it up and then proceed to our usual exasperation of a 2nd half. If West Ham weren't on their holidays and Carroll and Nolan at half pace, we would easily have conceded from the chances they had. Was that part of the plan since Pardew looks very content with his smile in the 2nd half? Get a point then have a make-or-break vs QPR? So West Ham is our defend-at-all-cost while QPR is our 'moment of magic'. I pray this defeatist approach doesn't bite us back in the arse. I'm off to sleep fully expecting a nightmare now.
-
You reckon QPR still have any fight in them?
-
And yet there's a 1 ffs. Same guy will probably go for the same point if we are 18th going into the Arsenal match.
-
The importance of his communication and familiar partnership with Saylor was clearly evident today. Playing 3 of the regular back 4 we had for years improved us immensely and gave us the platform to build our play, and as a result the first half performance was the first time I've seen the players play as a team this season. I'll keep Simpson at RB for the last 2 games, we need that solidity at the back.
-
The matches on Monday and Tuesday will tell us a lot on our survival chances. Until then I'm selectively blanking my mind for the next few days. One week of worrying leading to today is sufficient to kill more than a few brain cells and that's enough for now.
-
Anyone watching the QPR-Arsenal match? So is QPR rolling over for Arsenal after the early goal?
-
The mid-week results could just be the final nail.
-
If we don't win vs QPR we are down.
-
Villa and Wigan winning when it matters.
-
Could punch that smile off Pardew tbh.
