  1. I would go for Shawcross. I think he would jump at the chance to join us. Signing a new long-term contract at Stoke.

    Pardew Out?

Any new manager would have to work with the current coaching staff instead of getting their own in. Unless the likes of Carver, Woodman and Stone walks with Pardew, I doubt the new guy will be able to get to spend Fat Mike's money on stafffing additions. Any potential manager will have to negotiate that, minimal transfer funds and low comparative wages. Doubt we can attract any decent/better managers on such terms. To Ashley, he has hit the jackpot with Pardew, someone willing to work on his terms and had exceeded expectations last season.

    Pardew Out?

Anyone knows the record for our most consecutive run of losses? Pardew must surely have a chance to claim that in the coming weeks?

    Pardew Out?

Unemployed, does not need compensation. Works 'wonders' with a low budget (although horrendous with big money ) It will be him.
  5. For all the talk about getting Perch ahead of Williamson as CB, he's a worse header of the ball than Williamson. The only times it could work is if he is playing a midget like Defoe in the first game this season, where it depends more on his reading of the game. The typical Premier League striker will absolutely dominate him in the air.
  6. 4 defeats in a row. Glad I didn't wake up at 3.45am to a nightmare. What was our record run of defeats?
  7. So has he been doing well? I've never had any faith that he'll make the grade, but most reports on his time at Sunderland have been really positive. I'd absolutely love it if he develops into a solid left-back - he's relatively cheap, and completely homegrown. http://www.sportitotal.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Daniel-Levy-Tottenham.jpg Guess who wins again

    NUFC Pre-Season 2012/13

11/12 pre-season was badly done too but we had one fantastic start to that season.
  9. Not every time, that's a gross exaggeration. We have however seen him send goal kicks straight out of touch (inexcusable) or to an opponent under no pressure more than he should, then hold up his hands to acknowledge his errors.
  10. Nobody is saying that he's shit. His overall game is good but his major weakness is without a doubt his kicking. Not so much of hoofing (tactical or not) nor distance (a fair few direct launches resulting in goals) but rather when he is 'passing' (directional). We've seen him kick the ball to touch, to an opponent or fail to find a teammate leading to opposition pressure. No idea about his long throws but it could be an alternative to releasing the ball early to the flanks for a counter-attack.
  11. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/dortmund-fans-turn-bayern-stadium-yellow-120046596.html Dortmund fans turns Allianz Arena ( Bayern Munchen Stadium ) Red to Yellow Brilliant.
  12. Aye, it's great to have positive jibes around your team, and your team can only get better. Maybe Filipinos will care less about basketball. Singapore facing Indonesia tomorrow. Squad includes a 42 year old Duric, which is testament to his professionalism and career longevity but also goes to show we are falling behind in our next generation of players. Striker Khairul Amri was the next big thing but sadly made of glass and it has pretty much ruined a promising career. Shame also that we can't send (National Service commitments/ red tape) our young talent like Hariss Harun overseas like the Malaysians had done with their youth team.
  13. Nice. The addition of players with Filipino heritage such as the Younghusbands and Etheridge seem to help the team to a new level. It wasn't long before that the Philippines were whipping boys and now they are regularly a match for regional powerhouses like Vietnam. Wouldn't be surprised to see them replicate their Semi-Finals spot last time round.
  14. Suzuki Cup? Against who and what's the score?
  15. Williamson will have problems reaching the ball though.
  16. Is he any good? Can he play at RB? Can he hoof the ball?
  17. Think the nominees are selected by professional players over the world. Tbf a player in Timbuktu would probably have heard of Gerrard his whole career while not knowing how much he has regressed in recent years, while neglecting to know non-big names in lesser leagues.
  18. Hope no1 does those 'X-ray shots' thru the curtains.
  19. 3.45am local time. Gives me the perfect excuse to take a break from the current despair.
  20. Really needs to improve on his kicking.

    Pardew Out?

Don't know if anyone has noticed this before. Ashley has never spent money on prising away a manager from another club. Keegan - unattached, did not manage for years Kinnear - unattached, did not manage for years Shearer - unattached Hughton - promoted from within, was asst manager Pardew - unattached after Southampton sack Forget the likes of Martinez or Jol where Ashley will have to spend to get them. Choose any next manager from unattached list please.
  22. Harry at QPR is like a kid in a candy shop. Tony Fernandez's transfer spending spree plus Redknapp is a recipe for financial ruin.
  23. Hoof to Torres, bypassing Oscar, Mata and Hazard.
