We'll not be registering Armstrong of course as he is on a season long loan. I'm pretty sure it's January 1st. As long as the player is born in 1996 they don't need to be registered. So Aarons will need to be, Merino won't. Aye. We are probably looking at something like this.

Was thinking that the other day. Obviously they are not the same level as the Liverpool trio but they could play in a similar midfield formation and responsibilities. Beyond that, bringing in Colback or Diame is a few steps down, no matter the formation. De Jong could be an option but his injury record doesn't make great viewing. Ayoze in a #10 role maybe?

If we didn't mess up the Abraham (doesn't even count towards the 25-man quota) and Caballero (experienced goalie with PL experience for the next couple of years until Woodman breaks through) deals, we would have been pretty much done in our summer transfer dealing without spending another cent in transfer fees.

Don't think Rafa will start Murphy and Merino against Spurs either, since they are young lads without Premier League experience against tough opposition. Will likely be Atsu and Ritchie on the wings and Hayden, Shelvey and Diame/Colback in midfield.

Don't think there's anything to suggest he would be first choice tbf.
